One of the AL's top power hitters during his time with the club and burst upon on scene in 1987 hitting 49 hr's and being named rookie of the year and finishing sixth in MVP voting, and forming "Bash Brothers" with Jose Canseco. However he did have some bad years at the plate in terms of batting average. batting .231,.235 and .201 from 1989-1991 while having six-100 striekout seasons with the club although he was able to draw walks to make up for those strikeouts and low batting average and played a total of just 74 games froom 1993-1994 due to injuries. But when he was heathly and able to make consistent contact he struck fear into the hearts of opposing pitcheers and managers and a decent defensive player who won gold glove in 1990.

In the prime of his career which was from 1986-1991, he was the one of the most if not most exciting players in all of baseball. His most memrobable season being in 1988 when he batted .307 and knocking in 124 runs, while hitting 42 homeruns and stealing 40 bases, becoming the first player in basebll history to reach the 40/40 mark. The Hall-of-Fame seemed like a sure thing for Jose, even though he missed 65 games of the 1989 season, was still productive and his numbers projected over a full season would still have been up to his helped the A's win the World Series. He also had strong seasons in 1990 (.274, 37 hrs, 101 rib's) and 1991 (.266, 42 hrs, 122 rbi's). However Canseco frequently clashed with management and at times was even benched and in 1992, the A's decided to trade him for Ruben Sierra, Bobby Witt and Jeff Russell. Before the 1997 season, while with the Boston Red Sox, Canseco was traded back to the A's in exchange for pitcher John Wasdin, and had a productive season where he hit. 235, with 23 hrs, and 74 rbi's but was injured in August and missed the rest of the season. Jose was also one of the first players to ever be suspected of using steroids as he had a massive physique with Thomas Boswell of the Washington Post making the charge, which Canseco denied. Of course now in his retirement Canseco has not only acknowledged using steroids but has become baseball's Linda Tripp by writng his own book where he named other players that were using steroids and is simply remembered as a player who had several good seasons which were aided by performance-enhancing drugs and a squealer instead of being one of the all-time greats in the sport and for the Oakland franchise.

Without question the greatest program in the history in LA high school basketball history and one of the greatest in the country. It was put in the national spotlight by coaching legend Willie West who racked up an astounding 803 victories (with just 140 losses) in 37 years (1971-2007), eight California state titles, 16 city titles and 28 league championships. In 1985, Crenshaw went 31-0 and then went to Denmark to win the High School International Champonship. Notable players from Crenshaw have been Marques Johnson, John Williams, Stevie Thompson, Cornelius Holden, Kris Johnson, Tremaine Fowlkes and Kevin Ollie.

Feminists DO have a sence of humour, what are you talking about?!
Feminism has nothing to do with the jokes you're cracking, maybe you just suck at telling jokes.
I personally am one of the silliest people you will ever meet, I'm constantly laughing; and I'm pretty sure most feminists are on the same page.
We laugh so hard we almost piss our pants when watching Funniest Home Videos, when watching people do something utterly stupid and weird, and at good jokes (even bad ones when tired).
When we don't laugh at the sexist jokes you tell, it says nothing about our senses of humour, but more about the fact that you are a pig.

I think this would be one of the greatest match ups ever and they fought in their prime, Muhammad Ali would win 7/8 out of ten matches. I think Ali would have gotten into Tyson's head with his taunts, trash talk and other psychological ploys to go along with his speed but Tyson could definetly win some fights with his sheer power which would result in a KO or TKO victory.

Off the field a very well mannered and articulate, friendly human being. But as football player, one of the greatest Middle Linebackers ever, who could rush the QB, chase down run plays and a ferocious hitter. Was the leader and defensive captain for the great Bears defenses from the mid-1980's.

Los Angeles and Orange County area high school basketball is outstanding as it has several strong programs such as Crenshaw, Fairfax, Westchester, Artesia, Mater Dei, Compton Dominguez, Inglewood and Crossroads and has produced many outstanding players such as Marques Johnson, John Wiliams Sean Higgens, Chris Mills, Trevor Ariza, Schea Cotton, Miles Simon, Gilbert Arenas, Tyson Chandler, Tayshaun Prince, Paul Pierce and Baron Davis. However because of the enormous plethora of choices sports fans have among professional and college teams, LA high school doesnt get the same kind of attention from fans and the media it would if it were located in the Midwest thus it cant a five star rating. UCLA once got all the top talent from LA but during the mid 80's more and more colleges outside of LA and on the east coast started getting more and more talent from LA. The most notable example was in 1986 when Earl Duncan, Steve Thompson and Scott Williams all headed to the East Coast to play for Syracuse and North Carolina. However since then UCLA and other California schools have been able to hold onto LA talent although east coast/and out of state schools still get there share of LA talent.

as a vegetarian/vegan myself, i know very few vegetarians who do wear leather. someone wearing leather can't really call themselves a vegetarian, it's as simple as that.
i dont think you should assume all us vegies are hypocritical or attention seeking though.

I have no doubt this is true. Many church going people will end up where they hoped they wouldn't. Many atheists will question the worth of their stance on God.

And... only God knows a persons heart and the person of course.

What is a good Christian? God will be the judge. We are only good because have learned to be less bad and accepted the gift from Christ. We should read our Bible to learn and hear from God. The more we fail to read, the more we fail to hear from God. I do agree with this listing for the most part because satan knows the Bible more than most and he is obviously not a good Christian. Knowing the Word (Bible) but failing to live by it is a sign of weakness and rejection. We all fail and make mistakes. The question is do we learn from our mistakes.

Lamar hasn't been able to stay out of foul trouble in the first three games of the series but when he has played he has had some good moments.

Game one: Paul Pierce eserves recognition for his "Wllis Reed' performance after leaving the game with a sprained knee, and dropping 18 on the Lakers and hitting 3 trifectas. Whether you think he was faking/exaggerating the injury or not, he helped the Celtics in the game.

Game Two: Paul continues his oustanding play and dominates the way that Kobe was expected to and hits two clutch free throws to kill the Lakers 4q really.

Game Three: Paul gets into foul trouble and has a horrible shooting night.

We can understand God more as he gives us wisdom. But, we will never know all that he knows because he is God not us.

God answers prayers for "what is best" for us. We often pray with selfish desires and if God gave us all of those desires or "wants" most of us would be dead. Also, prayer is sometimes conditional ; God' Word says for men to treat their wives right or their prayers will be hindered.

True and it borders on blaspheming God.

After a quiet game one, Sasha came alive during the club's fourth quarter of game 2 rally and then was the Lakers number two scoreer coming of the bench to hit for 20 points.
