A lot like Scrooge. I would give it a 5 if I could just get that horrible Ron Howard movie out of my head...

Whether unique or not, Scrooge is the icon of this group.

If you feel compelled to rate this below 5 stars, please spend a long time explaining why.

Good analysis Franks Wild. I disagree with your rating, but your points make sense.

Lawrence and Paths of Glory are two of the greatest films of all time. After them, it kinda falls off a bit.

1 good movie, but only 1.

Not just some of the greatest war movies, but some of the greatest movies in any genre came out of the national angst over Vietnam.

I had to add the "Cold War" to the list even though it wasn't technically a "war" just because of all the great movies it has inspired and continues to inspire.

IMDB calls Farenheit a "war movie," so I'll go with it. I anticipate much better treatment in the future- its just like Vietnam only you can film it in Nevada instead of Asia so that saves money.

Only two important movies came out of this war, but both were classics.

"Cowboy and Indian" movies had a tough time trying to figure out how to portray the morally-questionable wars from the beginning. I can't say Costner's approach is a step forward, but that might just be his acting.

The book was good, but the movies all suck.

No decent movie has ever been made about the best war we ever fought. Maybe idealism and idolatry get in the way? I have no idea why this is.

You could almost include Gladiator and Braveheart here since they just ripped off Spartacus.

Generated two of the best movies of all time, but after GWTW, it's been largely ignored by Hollywood.

Not the worst Representative by any means, but follows right down the party line.

Minority Whip who thinks the Fed should be using that whip on the American people.

As House whip, he's your predictable Bush Republican.

I'm not a 'donkey-basher,' but Nancy Pelosi is a horrible Representative. Her answer to everything is to increase taxes and regulations. You'd think that being from San Francisco she'd be more liberal when it came to privacy rights and freedom from federal control, but that is sadly not the case. Even Democrats should be against her.

Centrist. Take him or leave him.

Despite his home district, Cannon is a centrist in the House.

Hard-line conservative. Good at voting against taxes and economic regulations, but opposes the same freedom from government elsewhere in life.

Centrist candidate.

Another big-government Democrat. Why are they all from Arkansas?

Better suited in a Soviet congress than an American one. His answer to everything is "more control!" Favors expanding the federal government's power over your economic and personal life.
