Some of the clothes are nice but conspicuous consumption is not sophistication! If you want real style and elegance go for Hermes.

Bergdorf Men is pretty nice. Just so expensive. Saks is so sketchy though, and Barneys - I hate the layout. And the products aren't as nice. Jeffrey isn't bad. Bloomingales is trashy.

No way I love this neighborhood and wouldn't move to tribeca or west chelsea or the wv for anything. So much character, cool new restaurants and bars opening at lightening pace. Ok it's gentrifying like crazy and in 10 years is going to be another East Village.. but the EV's not so bad.

Yes there's public housing here but also in Nolita and Tribeca, just don't go near it if you don't want to!

Definitely cheaper than ticketmaster or broadway.com (broadway.com especially). I bought with them twice - they don't have everything but they do have the big shows. You don't know what seats you're going to get when you buy though, which could be a turnoff. Mine were pretty good - though I did buy several weeks ahead of time. You can return your tickets I guess if you don't like them though I was happy with what I got so I never tried. Anyway I was happy with them.

They have good access but it's because they're a monopoly.. For some things at least - and their fees are ridiculous!
