Midwest Rawk

It's been said that the Midwest region, particularly Kansas City, has its own unique "sound" within the music world. Just exactly what that sound might be is anybody's guess. Regardless, many within the region swear up and down that there is a definite "Kansas City" sound, represented best by acts like Molly McGuire, Shiner, and Season to Risk as well as bands on the fringe of neighboring regions. But since the "Midwest/Kansas City Sound" is a bit hard to define, this is a list devoted to artists who are either from the region, bands from elsewhere that include members from the region, or bands that have no formal connection to this part of the country but are still considered part of this "scene" or "sound".
