If Alan Spencer had done "Police Squad" ; almost every visual gag and line reading so brutally over-the-top and painfully obvious, that it undermines itself, with the delusion that it's being brilliant and hip. For those who found "Police Squad" dull

While it was a good show, Elise Keaton isn't beating anyone in the looks department--yes, even in her architectural firm.

I think Mrs. Seaver was actually pretty hot.

This is probably a generational thing. I was a kid in the late 80s/early 90s when Growing Pains was on, so I think he's fairly memorable. I think my favorite Mike Seaver moment was when he wrote all the answers for a test on the bottom of his shoes, but didn't need to look at it because the process of copying everything onto his shoes in the first place made him study.

Fairly memorable, but I know I'm in the minority when I say that I vastly preferred him in a supporting role on "Cheers" to his lead part on "Frasier."

Memorable in a "I can't stand that *itch" sort of way, well, yeah.

I think "Cheers" might be the best sitcom ever made. The thing is, I don't know if any one character from the show truly deserves five stars. The show was great as a whole, but no one character really stands out. Cliff was a good one though.

A few years ago I would have said that Urkel would have gone down as one of the most memorable TV characters alongside such characters as Andy Tayler (Andy Griffith Show), Archie Bunker (All in the Family), and Lucy Ricardo (I Love Lucy), but Urkel is fading fast. It's been a long time since I've flipped through the channels and stumbled on a rerun of Family Matters. Anyone who grew up in the 90s will probably always remember him, but I suspect that older generations will forget him, and and that younger generations will never know who he was.

OK, we've finally reached some real TV characters. Archie Bunker was great. I'd watch old reruns of "All in the Family" before just about anything on TV these days.
