My wife brought in a pair of sandals to get repaired. The owner went on a 20 minute spiel about how he is the best in town and cares about his customers more than anyone else in the business. So, upon getting home with her fixed sandal she notices that the sandal that was fixed is much, much looser than the non-repaired one and doesn't fit. Very kindly, she returned to the store to show him her shoe. Of course the man said it had nothing to do with him and that her shoe must have magically stretched before he handled it. Nonetheless, avoid Bayou Belts. Their prices are fair and he says he can fix anything, but the workmanship is extremely subpar. Avoid and find a quality craftsman.

This place has alot of Ed Hardy, True Religion, MEK and other brands. Only problem is that they mark everything UP WAY above MSRP price. The same goes for their shoes and other gear. I found this out the hard way. A pair of True Religions were priced at $185. I went to a departmement store that had them reduced to like $29.99 after all the discounts. I felt ripped off. I would shop here if they were reasonable with their prices, but department stores have the same merchandise at or below retail. No reason to shop here unless you don't mind wasting your money.

I literally had one of the owners scream and curse at me from across the counter because one clerk told me the flowers were of a different price. I simply asked about the discrepancy. I walked out and will never go back. Do not support this place.

These guys really know thier stuff! I've had some repairs done there over the years, and the work has always been top notch, bought a few accessories and liked the selection, so when it finally came time for a new bike I went over there to see what they had. They asked a bunch of questions about my riding, made some suggestions, then let me test ride several bikes. After I made my choice they made sure it fit perfectly, then loaded it into my car for me (nothing new, every time they fixed my bike they helped put it in my car). Best bike shop in the area BY FAR!‎

I went into shop to get something for my daughter for school. We were meet at the door not with a hello nor a welcome. But an uncle tom telling me to check my medium size handbag. After realizing he'd made a mistake about my handbag he said go ahead. None of the white associates , ask if they could help me or my child. the manger ask what did the man want at the door, I explained he wanted my purse and was not getting it because it had all of my belonging in it , plus cash. She replied by saying I should have my money in my pocket not my purse. So my child and I left the store. I ask my white friend to return with my purse, she was asked no questions about the purse and she said someone ask to help her but she still thought that they were rude.

My wife and visited New Orleans in november 2009, she was in need of a new pair of shoes so went shoe shopping and found this place called Mirage on Canal St and paid for a new pair costing $65. On the first day of wear the heal of the right shoe completely shearded off leaving her limping around the street one shoe on one shoe off, armed with the receipt we took the shoes back to shop. The shop assistant some half cast immigrant who all over sudden spoke little English refused a refund or exchange leaving her to roam the streets in the rain looking for yet another pair which she soon gave up on. We would like to warn all visitors and locals for that matter to be aware of dealing with this high st cowboy at all cost.

I was there during Halloween time and finding unique costume items was no problem there. So many beautiful and unique thingies. It's a treasure house. Uh, to the review left by 9thward-does anyone else think it's odd that they called the shop worker racist for kicking them out for clearly making a racist reference?

I showed up when he opened, right on time (!) , on a Saturday at 7:30 a.m. with an exhaust problem. Mark helped me figure out the problem, took the car off the lift, and then, get this- because this was a simple fix he refused to charge me! I swear to God this happened. I gave the guy a $20 tip and was back in bed by 8:15. I'm a customer for life. You're nuts if you go anywhere else first.
