I have been taking guitar lessons with Gary King for 9 years, yes that's right 9 years.(one student named Johnathan has been coming for 12 years) Gary is the most patient teacher on earth, and one of the nicest most caring person I have ever met. Why would I take lessons for 9 years if the school wasn't great? Excuse me but I have some open tuning finger style song arranging to do.

I have been knowing Justin for a long time and he just seems to be an unhappy person. I am still taking lessons at Progressive Guitar Studio and Gary Is a GREAT teacher. He always went overtime with me, sometimes a half an hour. We just had a recital at The Harrison Ave Market and there were tons of people there and the whole event ROCKED!!!! Everyone was good! from 7 year old kids jamming to funk music to a high school chick ripping on the solo to Enter Sandman by Metallica! I talked to her after she played and she told me she had only been taking lessons for 3 months! Hey Justin!!! Its called PRACTICE! Dude

The city was really great for me to visit. It has such an air. Everyone was polite to me. I know that may not always have been all that true but mainly there was a difference. I didn't have that long to stay there but the time that I had there was rewarding. I mainly at that time enjoyed the food. The food is great. After awhile I was a bit tired. It is a small city compared to some as they say if you are used to a larger one.

I was a student of Mr Gary and he wasted time by talking negitive about the Government. It would eat 20 minutes of my lesson every week. I learned a few chords but I found I could have done that on utube. He didn't have structured lessons. One week he would show you one thing and then he would be totally somewhere else and never go over the previous lesson to be sure you had it. I ended up getting someone else to teach me and I was learning so much faster and the lessons were cheaper too. I can play 25 songs real good now. I would not recomend t Gary or this studio. He was just trying to drag out the lessons so he could make more money.

Class of '58 --- and had many good times --- and some frictions with former principal Violet O'Reilly. Misperceived fear: Non-virgin Club - unreasonable belief that black denims with buckle in the back were offensive. Those were good years....even my two years as Student Council President. On a visit (2007?), hated to see the no guns warning. Sad! Dislike the name change from L. E. Rabouin Vocational High School to the "career magnet" bit --- as if there's a heavy demand for magnets. "Career" should be understood. My best recommendation to all students is to read, read and read some more. Good luck and take care..

This is a wonderful program, one of our city’s best-kept secrets. Children thrive in an optimal setting for growth, learning, and exploration. There is warmth, love, safety, and affirmation. It is hard to find an unhappy kid in this school. Anyone who is closely associated with it shares a great deal of pride and joy in what they see—especially the children.

DO NOT... I repeat...DO NOT go to the W.I.C clinic located in this building. I arrived at 9am sharp and was forced to wait to be served until 3pm. There were tons of people waiting the same amount of time as me. Picture sitting in a non air conditioned room with screaming, hungry, restless, poopy babies for hours. Both waiting rooms were full to the brim and they only had two nurses working. They, of course, were all taking their sweet time. What is it with the local family services locations? I have never been to one that wasn't just as unprofessional. They are all the same. Filthy facilities, extremely rude staff and abnormally long wait times. At this particular location I was forced to change my children's diapers on a disgustingly dirty bathroom floor. My 6 month old almost picked up someone's dirty band-aid and put it in his mouth. How on earth can you be a public facility geared toward family care and not have a diaper changing table? Then on top of all that crap I was yelled at by the security guard for feeding my children on the premises because all the signs say "no food or drink allowed". Normally, I would have obeyed but I refused to let my babies starve for the six hours we were stuck there. That's right SIX HOURS! I am beyond outraged and appalled at what my children and I had to endure today. Just because someone is poor and needs assistance, does not mean they should be treated like a stray dog. I will be taking action!

The review from 9/09 appears to be from a former employee at RECP. As a parent whose daughter has been enrolled there since 12/05, I am offended by the review, and am relieved that an employee with this degree of anger and selfishness was recognized by the Administrators and fired. To all parents in need of daycare for their children, RECP has been a wonderful experience for my daughter and now for my son, who started last year as a 1 year old. From my experience, the teachers there truly adore the children and are always kind and affectionate with them. Your child receives an education there that is a great jump start for kindergarten and I highly recommend it.
