I considered boarding my horse here because of the great location... but was appalled at the horrible facility (should have listened to those who told me it wasn't worth my time). The grounds are full of junk (there was a pit of indiscernible objects that looked as if it had tried to have been burned at some point, but metal objects remain in places where horses actively graze), unsafe and falling apart fencing, soggy rotting hay, and weed-ridden pasture. The "paddocks" are mud pits held together by boards with nails sticking out, and there is only one dirty trough for some 25 pasture horses. The stalls in the barn asileway are actually decent for old stalls, but they are not cleaned out well, and several were ankle deep in mud. Other stalls had chainlink fencing (dangerous for any horse, especially those with shoes!), plywood, and boards falling apart. Roundpens are mud pits and "arena" was a joke: just boards poorly nailed together to separate an area with no type of footing what-so-ever (the area outside of the "arena" had better footing!). If you care about your horse's well being you won't go here.

I've climbed in several gyms and while this gym is ok, be ready for long waits to get on any bouldering routes if you're there at normal evening hours and can't climb before the onslaught of high school students. Also, it really bothers me that I purchased a 10-day pass with the understanding that if I didn't use it (I was new to the area and the salesman told me this because of my apprehensions that I might not stick around Nashville for long), I could sell the pass to someone else. I used the pass once three years ago and haven't been back to climb there since (awkward parking, too many climbers monopolizing the routes). Now I'd like to sell the pass, but, for some inexplicable reason and contrary to all other methods of commerce and trade, Climb Nashville doesn't allow this. As far as I'm concerned, save your money and climb outside or put up your own training wall and climb there. It's just about as cost effective.

When I visited Wave Country with a friend on July 12 2009 for my birthday I had a blast. We took a blanket, lunch, swimgear, and towels. The thugs must have been hidden out somewhere else. The kids were enjoying themselves, the adults were kids again, and the atmoshere was welcoming. I swam and ate and slept under a big shadded tree. I woke up and did it all over again. At evenings end the rain clouds moved in and everyone had to clear the pool due to lightning strikes. To my surprise the pool attendants graciously stamped anyone's hand who wanted to return after the rain. Well we came on back home to Memphis TN. The only wave country you'll get here is when Memphis In May comes and the rain floods out the selfish BBQ and Music festival goers.

If you enjoy looking at thugs with there bathing suits down and their underwear showing, or listening to filthy language, If you don't want to enjoy the pool because the hoard of thugs are rough housing and horse playing this is the place for you. Do not take your young children there it is no longer a family fun pool. It is over run with members of groups and thugs. If metro Nashville Parks does not care to back the wave pool and keep the thugs out it will soon be nothing more than a memory. Do not go.
