I have lived in Nashville for two years and the one thing I had yet to find was a great salon. I was driving the three and a half hours to my home town in Illinois when I needed to get my hair done by someone whom I felt was competent. I went on some whims to salons recommended by friends, always to be disappointed. I read great reviews on citysearch and decided to give Salon Ya Ya a try. I had an important interview coming up and needed to get in ASAP. I spoke with the owner on the phone and they worked me in that very afternoon. Even though it was a last minute appointment, I was not treated as such. Sarah was my stylist, she really listened to what I wanted and made suggestions as to what would lead to the best results. I have never thought I would be able to pull off blonde, but Sarah perfected it. We have a plan over the next couple of visits to reach my desired level of blonde and maybe even throw some purple into the mix! I work with the public and some high profile people so my image is important. I feel extremely confident with the look I was given at Salon Ya Ya. Danielle, who washed my color out was amazing as well. Talk about a great scalp massage! She also did my blow-out and styling. All of the girls there were very personable and easy to talk to. Marilyn the owner gave me some free samples before I left, and now I have no choice but to purchase the products. They offer great products and aren't afraid to back them up. I have never been to a salon who let you bring back a product if you aren't completely satisfied with it. Salon Ya Ya is a great example of how to run a successful business, because the follow the golden rule of putting their clients first! I am counting down the days until my six week appointment!
