both of my boys have enjoyed Brierwood as a pre-kindgergarten program, afterschool care and summer camp. we could not ask for a more loving and caring environment and set of teachers and directors. the classroom setting for pre-k prepped both of our boys for the "real thing" the summer camp program is creative, exciting and fun, the theme changes weekly and the cultural actiivies and outside fun and field trips are the best! Afterschool program is great, homework gets done, snack and then free time! i would recommend this highly to any parent, without hesitation! on a scale of 1 to 10, they are above and beyond the scale!

I visited this daycare to find out if it was right for us. I have a 11 month old little boy. He seemed excited once we got back to the nursery area. He played but there were few toys in the room. The front area when you walk in makes you feel like your in a dark and dingey place. It was a small hall way & the kids bathrooms were small to even walk in. What turned me off from choosing this daycare was 2 things the front area when you walk in & the fact I asked if they allow the kids out side in the spring & summer & they said no, not at his age. Which I disagree with. I'm not going to have my baby stuck in side on beautiful days.

I visited this daycare & I would recomend it. They had a nice facility. It was clean & organized & had nice cute coat cubby's out side the rooms. All the rooms had 1/2 doors so you can peak in. It had a nice large gym area which is just a room with crawl on toys & mats. My only concern is it didn't seem homey or interactive & fun inside the room. They didn't have alot of toys to play with. The best part is the provide formula, diapers & lunches. They had a great area for the infants to play out side fenced in. I'm not sure if this is the place for us yet. We are still looking into places but I have to say it's in our top 3.

I visited this daycare & I enjoyed seeing it. I liked the coat area, They had nice size rooms but little toys. I didn't care so much for the walking room (Babies that started walking) being so open with just a wall partician. The staff seem friendly. IT was a small facility. She told me there are 50 kids total. They do provide lunches. From the street it looks not so inviting but when you pull up to the door it was nice. She said they take the children in the spring & summer out side at the near by Amherst Park. I was alittle unsure of that but with out expierence I can't judge. Over all i would recomend it if you want something a bit more intimate.

Response to stories concerning the Ellicott Campaign. The same thing happened in 2006 in Delaware District. The council voted with the committee, why is it different with the Ellicott District. I am upset with the behavior of the Common Council. Honor the process. Darius Pridgen was endorsed by the Democratic Leadership. Chris Collins is a multimillionare and is the Executive for the County. There appears to be double standards in the city of Buffalo. Why aren't you going with the recommendation?

The professionalism of the staff is extrodinary. They show compassion for each child as if they were their own. My 2 c hildren have been attending for about 11 months and they love it! They have learned so much and love coming to school. The center is very clean and well maintained. The staff is always willing to go the extra mile. It's refreshing to drop off my children in the morning and see a big smile and warm welcome on the teachers face when we walk in. I recommend this center to anyone!

My children have been attending Care-A-Lot for four years - first at the Derby location and then, when we moved two years ago, at the West Seneca center. It is a warm and loving environment where the teachers are attentive and well educated. My oldest entered kindergarten this year with rave reviews from her teacher for the foundation Care-A-Lot provided. There has been a change of Directors recently and the new director, Karen Cimato-Allen, is just wonderful to work with! I don't know what I would have done without Care-A-Lot.

Uneven teaching--Mssrs. O'Donnell and Edson are superb. Lynch is trying to improve. Some teachers are really bad but protected by a tight union contract. Very friendly PTA and family-oriented environment. The Principal, Mrs. Ladisio, is better than average--very involved and tries to get to know each student personally. School is in a beautiful and safe neighborhood and is a good value. NYS standardized test scores are amongst the best in the Sweet Home School District.
