I recently got married in the islands and was just thrilled with Rainforest's ability to make my day extra special. The attention to detail that went into my wedding was well thought out and executed by the Rainforest staff.
My first initiation to doing a wedding in Hawaii came as an eye opener for me. I initially emailed five top floral designers to provide me with a quote for my big day. I only received one email response back and that came from Rainforest. I did receive an automatic message from two other florists but never got a follow up when they would be able to help me.
My wedding day was going to be on the October 10 week end and I have heard that so many weddings were scheduled for that day. We just got our information about our trip and appointments late in the game. We were about a month away and I knew it was a last minute effort to get something so I planned on getting what ever I could. I just wanted to get married in Hawaii and make it as memorable as possible. Michael M. at Rainforest was very helpful and while I imagined to pay a high price due to this being a last minute effort I was ready to do so. The quote for my first choice wedding didn't seem that bad. I had originally budgeted $500 for my flowers and was quoted just slightly higher than $600. But since he was the only florist that had wrote me back, I accepted it without haste. On the day of my wedding, I was amazed how carefully packaged and wrapped to insure that everything was perfect. Leis were wrapped in tea leaves and were so attractive the mother's didn't want to open them. My lei was wrapped in a special colored tea leaf with fancy ribbon and an orchid tied into it.
My bouquet was the best I could have ever imagined it to be. I originally wanted all orchids in bright colors. I was surprised that the bouquet had over a hundred orchids in it in so many colored forms and shapes that I didn't realize there were so many types. It was beautifully wrapped in fancy ribbon and composed with exotic foliages and just wowing everyone who saw it. Another bride of another wedding complimented on my bouquet saying that a bouquet like the one I had must have cost about $500! I blushed and smiled to tell her that my whole wedding cost just slightly over $600, which included a groom's fancy full mylie lei, 2 mother's fancy orchid leis, 2 father's masculine leis, a flower girl halo, a Matron of Honor's bouquet and a small centerpiece for our dinner afterwards. Every piece was composed of orchids which were my favorite that I just had to write this review.
I must say that I have compared pricing with other bride's wedding flowers and I actually had the best value. I imagine prices are much higher in Hawaii even for flowers. We did spend a lot getting there and having such a grand wedding in Hawaii. My dream since I was little. The only difference is that I originally imagined doing it in a hula skirt.
