I heard a small hype about this place which is new in Charlotte. I've have many great nights out at the NC Music Factory so I was pretty excited to check it out. After spending a few hours at Fridays at the Factories we headed in to Wet Willies. We waited in a random line even though it was pretty empty inside. The hold up? They were using electronic handheld scanners to check ID's. I've never seen this in Charlotte, but I assume its no big deal. I thought wrong. The girls infront of us ID's would not scan, but they got pushed right thru. My friends ID scanned fine. My ID would not scan for some unknown reason. They tried 5+ times, but could not get it to register. So I'm just standing there.. waiting.. Finally after inspecting my ID like it was some kind of fake they show me this piece of paper. This paper has peoples names, addresses, etc. All sorts of contact information just laying out on the counter. They explain I have to write in my information to get in. Yeah right. You just let two females in, but want me to fill out some paper work? The bouncers had no ideas the females where with us so I pulled them and my friend back out. I explained I was leaving. They just gave me a 'so what' look. I walked next door and walked right in to Black Bear Saloon where the experience was great. After that I headed to Halo to finish the night . I will never go back to Wet Willie's and ensure everyone I know will avoid it.

If you want a music venue that is not only sophisticated but TONS OF FUN!-you won't find anyone better than Curious George. They give you 100%-no long breaks pr hidden costs for lighting. like some DJ services. "George" was accompanied by his dynamic wife Cindy-who did an outstanding job of helping with announcements at our wedding. The crowd was varied in age and they chose perfect music selections and played all of our "requests!" In additional to playing dance music at the reception, they provided classic music for the sit-down dinner. I've worked with several DJ's over the years and they are the BEST!

It is not unusual to pay premium prices for tickets to sold out events, however, Primotix through their online vendors is selling tickets at 150 to 350 percent of face value for events where better quality seats are still available at face value. DO NOT BUY FROM PRIMOTIX, CONCERTTICKETCENTER, or any vendor associated with primotix without at least checking availability from all LEGITIMATE ticket sellers and the venue first. Their practice is scalping in the worst possible way because not only are their overcharges excessive, but their marketing misleads the buyer into believing they are legitimately selling tickets as opposed to, for example, being a broker for hard to find or sold out events.

Don't fall victim to this establishment. Every review written here was just like my experience. This place has no redeeming qualities. We ordered our appetizers and it took an hour for them to start trickling out of the kitchen. Nothing came at the same time. No explanation -- not even from the arguementive manager who straggled over after being ask. Drinks not refilled. And there were only a few tables in the entire place. Whoever owns this restaurant needs to clean house before this place implodes. I have never had this bad of a dining experience ever. Don't go......you'll be sorry you did

I've never reviewed a restaurant before, good or bad, but I felt the need to point out the terrible service and management at Black Bear Saloon. We had a group of seven and we were one of the only tables in the place. Five of the seven ordered from the appetizer menu and the other two ordered a quesadilla and a chicken sandwich. Pretty simple, straight-forward fare. It took a solid hour, receiving one or two dishes at a time, before we all had our food. Our drinks weren't refilled and we never received an explanation or apology for the delay. By now we were annoyed and asked for the manager. After another delay the manager came out. We expressed our displeasure and the manager was immediately defensive and not accomodating in any way. He actually turned into a complete jerk! If you are just going to drink you may be fine. I recommend you don't go to this place at all but if you do go, do NOT go hungry! Don't say I didn't warn you!

Visited On the Roxx Southend for the first time after dining at a local restaurant a few blocks away last Sat night. I had heard this place opened a few months ago and was curious to see how it was since we were all in the mood for a “Classy Drink” haha. I work near the location in Ballantyne and have NEVER had anyone talk about going there, or have ever seen anything going on there. (No offense B-tyne location) My first impression - this place looked pretty cool when we walked in…there was about 6 of us. Interior was flashy, decorated nice, but not overdone (thanks ikea!). Music was pretty surprising too in a good way; had a mix of classic rock, pop, and hip-hop. Since we got there a bit early we figured it wouldn’t be too clubbed (or lounged) out at 9:30. As the night went on and the DJ arrived, it got much more hip-hop oriented. As far as the drinks go, it seems they specialize in and have many infusions. We were told by all the bartenders that they are all vodka and really strong…we all disagreed. Either our whole group was terrible at sensing “strength” in our drinks, or these were as fruity as (insert funny metaphor here…I’ll keep this PG). Not too mention we’d order like 4 at a time and 2 or 3 didn’t even half way fill up the martini glass they came in. Overall fun place even though I had some minor critiques. I thought this would be the place I would see a bachelor party or a group “pre-gaming” before a night out on the town…but didn’t really see much of a crowd and we left at 11:15. I guess I should come back again to see for myself. I’m still undecided if I would go out of my way to come back, probably just with my girlfriend for a laid-back drink or two.

Tavern 51 is a great little neighborhood bar to stop by after work. Bud lights are $1 all the time and they have great menu items at even better prices.

Love this club. Closest thing you can get to a NYC club. Everyone goes there for the dance floor. Drink prices are a little high.

I went on a Friday night with a group of friends for a b-day party. We got there around 6:45pm and they showed us to our table. We got drinks and waited for the rest of the group to show up. Once they arrived it took 30 mins to get 3 drinks and over 2hrs for the rest of the group to get drinks and to try to order food. Only a few of us got to order once the server came to the table. We had to tell her over and over who was on what check and that the rest of the group needed to order dinner and drinks. The manager finally came over once I got up to get him and we explained to him that that she was rude, cursed at us, cursed at our table to us, didn't get half the order for the table correct and half the group still hadn't ordered. Needless to say the manager didn't fix it either. Finally after waiting for over 50 mins to get our checks they never showed up so we all left. I would not ever go back or tell someone to go there. We all were very angry and have passed this on to everyone and anyone askes about this place. Would not waste your time to go.
