I attended this school. Thought it was going to be a great learning experience. I did not agree with everything that was going on, but was there for an education. Shame on me...Melissa claims to be such a great christian..yet that same week that was our last week her and her husband lied to us all. Told us that is was one of the best and were going to make sure we all received the education we needed to make it in this industry...Surprise...very next week Bankruptcy. She did not even have enough respect for us as her students to contact us..She had a instructor contact us. On top of that there were new students that paid 100% up front for just a few weeks of classes. Those who paid all up front lost all there money....Shame on both of them..for deceiving all of us...It was not about the students but the money..

Skinactics School of Aesthetics was the first school dedicated specifically to Aesthetics in the Birmingham area and helped bring awareness of the Aesthetic industry in the Birmingham area. Our curriculum is followed with a proven track recorded for successful completion. We have produced hundreds of successful graduates over the years with an exceptional pass rate for the Alabama State Board testing process. I would encourage anyone interested in the Aesthetic field to do your research before enrolling. The proof is in our success and if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, we are doing it right as others have tried to copy us but none will ever be able to reproduce the passion our instructors have for our students. Students are not learning from syllabus provided. Instuctors are not educated on the material and have even had to be taught by students on procedures. The new students depend on the older students to show them procedures. The owner makes for a very unstable environment claiming to "see demons" and having the power to drive them away which has (obviously) frightend many of the students. But unfortunately, most students are convinced to pay tuition upfront (because of the price break) which has kept many students from leaving. I have never posted any negative reviews towards a business in my life, I just want prospective students to be warned and don't want anyone else to have to learn from experience.

I strongly advise you to research who you will be giving your money to as well as the curriculum outlined to be followed. I know Birmingham is somewhat limited, but your career is a long term investment and the last thing you want to do is settle and end up with your hard earned money and education in the wrong hands. Skinactics has had some positives to it, but unfortunately, that is of the past. The present day Skinactics School is not a good environment to learn in and does not follow through with the curriculum they initially state they will educate you on.‎

I was very dissatisfied with the management of Little Footprints. While the daycare seems to have many plusses at first glance - yes, the price is GREAT!, the facility is adequate, the walls are colorful & full of children’s activities, the staff warm & friendly - I was constantly made aware of the daycare's uncertain financial standing either through a lack of personnel or other tangible resources. In addition, I was often provided excuses or extended reasons when I brought something to the attention of management. Finally, I was very unhappy that during our 7 months at the daycare, my child had 6 different teachers. I do feel this was also a sign of poor management. The only accolade I can give is the dedication and loving care of the teachers. I agree they were attentive to my child and took care of him well.

The academic load is accelerated but my children are nurtured and cherished. For the K-5 students, school ends at 12:40, and the latest they can stay is 2:40, so working parents must find another (usually more expensive) alternative. The personalized college counseling is excellent. Cons: Lack of racial, socioeconomic diversity, lighter on math and science and heavier on humanities. There is no after-care from 2:40 onward, which is hard for parents who work to pay private school tuition.

domestic violence is a silent life for some, for others it's a world of the only attention being given by another person. I currently live in a world that is truly been blessed with all the basic needs for my children, and myself. As a woman i feel the the responsibility of a man consist of more then a statement of being one. I feel myself entering a place where i have often felt sorry for a person that wasn't brought up like i was and by allowing them to see that there is still hope, this has caused me to endure name calling and mental abuse from my ex husband and ex boyfriend. I am at a place in my life where i am a young mans nightmare i am in a place for ACTION not word of mouth The YW taught me to look for the red flags, understand the red flags, and TAKE ACTION if need arises . I am very kind hearted , and many people take that for granted that is if i allow them to. Young ladies please take a stand and stand up for yourself let these people know what you are not going to take and don't back down because you love the person, guess what if the person loved you LOVE IS AS IT DOES ! and it doesn't hurt . Look at the examples of the men in your life that you consider men , or neighborhood men , church men or just plan old men that deserve the title of being called a man and let them be an example. Let your living and life be in the hands of GOD don't lose it by the hands of a person who CLAIMS they love you.

My husband and I have had problems with the whole education system in Tarrant for years now. Our son is attention defacit, hyperactivity disorder and has numberous troubles in school. We FINALLY got him on and IEP, but it is not being followed so my husband has tried for weeks now to get in touch with someone at the Tarrant Board of Education and all we get is the run around. No one will call us back or talk with us so we are having to take steps to go further with this problem. We will contact Adap to see if something can be done. Don't EVER think about sending your children to Tarrant Schools

I used a gift certificate from Babe Bingo for a free manicure my first time at the school. I have since been back for another manicure, eyebrow wax (its only $7! and they are gooood! better than paying $14 and have a professional ruin my arch), AND a haircut with some conditioning treatment thing. I recommend Winonahs Salon and Cosmetology School.
