They did a fine job at "taking out the stress of my residential move". Of course, we paid a pretty penny for that relief and I was happy to. We were a highly organized move complete with all loose items protected, packed, labeled and even coordinated by room in order to alleviate extra work on the moving crew.

Here's my issue. I called the owner, Jeff with an issue of a box of ceramic chargers, serving platters/bowels that had been thoroughly demolished in the move. With all the foam wrap, bubble wrap, and shrink wrap and a clearly labeled box as to the fragility of the items inside, this box was still not handled appropriately. Since it is their policy to only pay damages of .60/pound, I am out approximately $274.40. To be clear, that's 25% of what I paid and TIPPED them for my entire move!

Had I not witnessed them sliding boxes of dishes/glasses down an entire flight of stairs on the move 2 years previous, I would not be so disappointed in his response.

WE WILL NOT BE USING OR RECOMMENDING THIS OUTFIT FOR ANY FUTURE MOVES WHATSOEVER.

Terrible moving company! We chose this company because the owner came to our house to give us a personal quote and promised that they would take care of our belongings. However, 4 pieces of furniture were completely damaged - huge gashes were taken out of wooden pieces. The men moving us tried to get us to believe that we damaged the furniture ourselves. It took well over a month to get any of the furniture repaired. The men were also completely unprofessional and made vulgar jokes & comments the whole day and never cared who was around them. Never use this company!

I've live at OV for 2.5 years and have really enjoyed living there. The neighborhood is great, it's conveniently located with easy access to buses and within walking or biking distance of shops, restaurants, etc. It's also right on the Olentangy River with easy access to the bike path. I will admit that I don't know my neighbors, but haven't had a problem with any of them. However, I'm really frustrated with the new management's leasing policies. My lease ends Aug 31. We received a note in March/April encouraging us to renew early and save money (i.e., they wouldn't raise our rent by $100 per month). We received a note May 7 notifying us that if we don't renew by May 15 (remember, lease ends Aug 31) our apartment would be put on the market. Our two options are to renew for a full year (actually, 50 weeks because the new lease would terminate Aug 20) or leave. We don't know how long we'll be living in Columbus, and so we thought that maybe we would be able to extend on a month-to-month basis (you know, that option that most landlords have available for tenants that have lived in an apartment for more than one year). Nope. They don't do that. If we need to move out before our new lease terminates (Aug 20), we will have to sublet the apartment, as they will not break our lease - even if there are tenants to take our apartment. And we have to renew now because they have a waiting list for fall. How, exactly, is it proper to fill a waiting list with the intention of pushing out current residents (who, by the way, have always paid rent on time, never caused complaints, etc.)? The attitude is really frustrating, both from the upper management and the local office personnel who not only have no capacity to listen but do not return phone calls when their policies are questioned. Bottom line: great place to live, but only if you're absolutely certain you need a place for 50 weeks, no more, no less.

When I moved here, I thought this place had potential. Now I am more than happy to leave. The old wallpapering makes the walls seem dirty, and since it is wall papered and never replaced, you see nail holes and marks everywhere! The appliances in the apartment eat a major chunk of the electric bill because the are old and outdated. I see peoples gutters falling off their roofs and the water no longer going into the gutters, but they are never replaced. The old A/C heater thing triples your electric bill if you use it. I know people in all of the different apartments they offer and not a single person is satisfied with their apartments. That is a total of 8 people I talk to on a regular basis not happy with their homes. Do you want to add your self to that number?
