High pressure! Hidden game of cost, because you really dont know how much they really cost! Installer was super! Fast and neat! . So far it seems that the terms I signed up for are the terms I got. The windows are very nice looking, but the other day I went to swing open one of my slider windows and the entire window dropped out! It turns out that if the window is just a little slanted when you swing it open, it is subject to dropping out! Worker reported that a window dropped out and hit an older lady in the head. This is a major defect! I caught it, luckily! Or not! Got some back pain from catching window over a table. Oh, and I haven't heard from anyone since after the installer left! The locking tabs are very difficult to use. You must have finger nails to unlock them, but they are quite easy to push in. Now it seems that the windows are not made to leave in the swing out position, and you must use extra care when swinging them out, until they lock in place that is! I thought a salesman told me that I could leave them in the swing position, but he was new, and that is not the case. I have a 3 part large slider that I thought I could get more air flow out of by swinging open the windows, well, you can but they are not made for that. My luck I guess! on this type of item is appears that you would get more air flow though normal hanging windows, than that of a slider. When you open the the two sides you do not get the full amount of air flow, as the two windows meet in the center it only provides about 1/3 of the possible air flow. If only I had realized all of this before hand! Hopefully this will help you! Namely, if you are looking at 3 part slider, don't. Double hung is the way to go here! then you would have 3 windows that open 1/2 way, instead of two that only open about 1/3 of the way before they meet in the center. Sliders have many moving parts. Good luck! Insult to injury- I attempted to change the payment date with Visa Home Projects through the same people who have my mortgage, but no go! Staff says that the payment date cannot change and, of course, the payment is due the same time as my mortgage. Great job well fargo! Dumb, thanks for nothing!
