Horrible before i started going to mr browns my skin was flawless no bumps at all i went there got my hair cut and a bump was on my neck front and back 7 years later im still trying to get rid of them. His son who is also a barber was the one who cut my hair. They do not disinfect their clippers. My skin looks horrible now i wish i never stepped foot in that barber shop i regret it to this very day. There are painful clipper bumps on the front and back of my neck i strongly recommend people to stay away from Mr. Browns barber shop on cleveland ave and westerville rd.

Awesome, old school, barber shop where you get a full service haircut for $10.50, as of 5-1-2010.
Great guys behind the chairs, good conversation and a hot lather straight razor detail.
Good local business owned by a young entrepreneur.

I recently visited the salon for the first time and received a haircut from Jessica. She was professional, friendly, and talented. She gave me a cut that reflected exactly the wishes I discussed with her during our consultation. Along with the bright, cheerful salon atmosphere and very reasonable pricing, it was an easy decision to make this my new first choice for hair services. I will be going back soon for coloring and I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

BEWARE! Check out the CitySearch reviews for Hilliard which use the terms "deceptive," "shady," "under-handed." UA uses deceptive practices to get people to sign contracts. And management/corporate finds strict excuses to not let you out of their contract - even though their staff at the gym communicate otherwise. Even when your membership comes to an end - you'll be charged to cancel & they have strict terms of notice to cancel. PLEASE do your research before you sign a contract! And READ every word in the contract - don't agree to anything unless it's in writing. Ive seen other posting(s) that UA has pushy/high pressured sales-which I would agree with. And the lack of care of the management &/or corporate on the poor customer service–which I agree with too. This is some of the worst customer service I've experience &/or have heard of. Some similar postings are on other web sites & for other UA locations. Please do your research before you join. Use a search engine to read reviews for your location & the others. This is ALL locations- UA moves some of the same staff to their different locations. I've read similar for the Columbus and Cincinnati areas. The gym, overall is nice, & I like the variety of equipment; however, I will not sign a contract nor give them access to my bank account again. They've changed the reason for not canceling my training contract THREE different times. I met the terms they provided me for cancellation. Each time I dispute with evidence then they come up with a different reason. Now they've provided more strict conditions of cancellation than what I was told at the time I signed a contract. I initially tried to cancel in November; they didn't notify me until January they didn't accept my cancellation, I've disputed a few times - it's now March & they are still deducting over $100 a month from my bank account for training when I do not even have a membership there any more! I've read other horror stories of people trying to cancel contracts at the end of the term & they've had problems too. The more I read the more of a scam I think UA is running. So far it's cost me hundreds of dollars. I've filed a BBB complaint against them - I hope others do the same. If I can save one person the money & hassles I've faced with Urban Active - its worth the time I've spent posting this.

I picked Jody from an internet search. I live about 2 hours from his salon so I was being adventurous. I was ready for something new and different. Jody listened to what I wanted and to what my hair concerns were then came up with a great cut and color. I can't wait until my next visit! (I booked before I even left the chair)
