Nothing would make me happier than to see this business go out of business. They have no customer service skills, overcharged for nothing. They did nothing to my microphones, but charged me 45 bucks. Sorry, but this needs a new element and we were unable to located a replacement. If these people were experts they would have been able with little or no effort to determine my mic needed a part they couldn't locate, and since they weren't able to do anything but open the mic up, look inside and determine they couldn't fix it. 45 bucks for what? These people will get what they deserve. Hopefully it will include a broken window or other vandalism. I hope so! Really hope so.....

3.5 Stars.

If you've stayed in one Marriott Courtyard, you've pretty much stayed in all of them. They're a decent mid-scale hotel, at an affordable price point and generally well located. In this case, it was not just affordable, but outright cheap since I booked through Priceline and got a hell of a deal on three nights.

This one is located downtown, a few blocks from the Pearl District and only a short stagger from several of my favorite Portland bars, restaurants and bookstores. A well appointed room with a small fridge and a huge television, free WiFi, a stand alone shower and a slightly uncomfortable bed.

The staff is helpful and friendly almost to the point of obsequious, if you like that kind of thing. There is a hotel bar and restaurant, but it looked uninteresting and I never tried it. Parking is a bit of an issue. The hotel offers valet parking at 29 bucks a night, and you're much better off in one of several nearby lots for about a third of that, even though it means a two or three block walk.

I wanted to try a different tech since usual was slammed.

I brought in two pieces of gear, a Peavey Combo 300 that wouldn't power on and a EQ pedal that just lost gain.

After 2 months of not hearing a word from them about estimate or update, I emailed them to see what was going on. Then I hear back a few days later that they can't fix the pedal because of part not available, yet couldn't tell me what part but they still kept $45 deposit and my Peavey amp was fixed.

They replaced 2 compentents, and added a new plug to the amp power cable(shorting the cord to almost unuseable length like 4 ft now). Charged me $178, which is about what a working amp would cost.

I took the pedal to a usual shop near by and they fixed EQ pedal in 2 weeks and only charged me $26. Told me it was just a bad cap, so AME basically ripped me off.

When I brought this up to All-Service, asking for the $45 refunded because I doubt think they even looked at the pedal. They ignored me and said it was non-refundable.

Not to mention the peavey amp that I use as a backup is not working again with the same issue.

In talking to a number of other musicians, I haven't nothing but bad experiences with this place.

Anyway, I would never take a piece of equipment there again or recommend them to anybody.

Probably 3.5 stars. Spent three days here over the Easter weekend, using it as a base while I spent the time introducing my older son (now 21) to the brew pubs, restaurants and other assorted hedonism of Portland.

It's located near the Lloyd Center, a typically worthless mall, but across from a pleasant civic park and about a hundred yards from the MAX line which runs across the river to downtown, and is free within that radius.

Rooms were large and airy, the usual amenities in the bathroom, and the beds were comfortable.

Booked it through Priceline and payed about 60 bucks a night, which is well below their rack rate.

The limousine service was used for our son's Prom. We didn't know which service to choose---While searching the "yellow pages" I pointed to Astro Limousine Service, I called, talked to the representative---she told me to trust her---I've heard this many times in my days---I went with my instincts and it paid OFF! We will use this limousine service again in future. As a matter of fact we have an up coming wedding in the family and Astra Limousine Service will be our selection---no need to look any further. Thank you for your kind and friendly service. Oh, I must state the PRICE was RIGHT!

It's pretty simple. I brought $230 to the Travelex counter at the US Bank downtown, with the intention of trading for Mexican pesos. While in line, I checked the current rate - 13.015 pesos to the US dollar. At the window I was informed of the fees, $7.95 for the exchange, and a rate of 11.40. So, for my $230 and change, I received $2540 pesos. This represents a total loss of buying power of over 15%. Alternately, had I pulled $2540 pesos out of an ATM once in Mexico, I would have received the 13 to 1 rate, minus a 3% currency fee, a $2 foreign ATM fee, and a likely $2 fee for use of the ATM. This means my $2540 pesos would have cost me approximately $205 US, or a savings of $25, representing an over 10% discount from Travelex. This level of of fees for currency exchange is unacceptable and usurious. I will not do business with Travelex again, and you would be wise to do the math yourself as well.

I ordered Astra Limousine for my daughter's prom night, and I still stand by my decision in doing so!! For my daughter and her friends, they had an awesome time; the driver was super friendly, helpful and knew exactly what he was doing, the interior of the limousine was clean, presentable, and luxurious. And I sat back in satisfaction knowing that Astra is the best company Portland has to offer!! Highly recommended!!

You can pump out your head here and get fuel. I do not recommend the marina as a place to moor your boat. Too many rules and they turn off...
