In the sixties I attended Mount Vernon Methodist Church. I was married in the chapel October 2, 1971. It was a wonderful church. I lived in the Methodist Business Girls Lodge 607-609 Park Avenue only a couple blocks over from Mt Vernon. Time has quickly passed me by for it is now 2011 and I would love to know the history of the Business Girls Lodge. I made my home there for almost 6 years. If anyone reads this review and could answer my question please do so.

The BEST church in Maryland. Pastor dripping with integrity. Ministry saturated with The Anointing.

I love it!

Kingdom Worship Center is a place where you can feel safe enough to open up to the Lord. There you can ministered to and be released from whatever yur bound with. The word at Kingdom is so rich and powerful. It's unlike any words I've heard anywhere. Bishop Dennis an Lady Dennis are the most transperent pastors I have ever seen. The are like open books and encourage people to grow even through their mistakes and never give up. I love that place.

Abundant Blessings!

Carter Memorial Church of God in Christ is a wonderful place to worship. I had the pleasure of sharing a day with Alicia Lewis on friends and family day eleven years ago, 1999.

In 1999, Bishop Ellis was the pastor. I believe he was 85 or 86 blessed years old. What I enjoyed most at this service, was the Bishop Ellis' need to "shout and dance". He was ill and asked another member to "shout" for him. On demand, the memeber of the congregation "tore a hole in the floor", and many joined him . I really enjoyed that service.

After that first service I would always visit the church. I was "church shopping" at the time and realized, this was my home. I joined the church and the assistant pastor at that time, Elder Carl Pierce (current pator) was always inviting the younger generation to bring thier friends and family. His instructions allowed a broad range of generations join to become members. All age groups are members.

I began new member bible study with sister Bauknight (not sure of correct spelling of her name) and learned so much more about God's word. Every wedsnesday I would rush to bible study taking my kids, and husband along with me. It was such a wonderful learning experience.

All the members and assistant pators made me feel so welcome there.

Eleven years later I am still a member! I am now 35 years old, and have tremendous faith because of my support and prayers recieved via Carter Memorial.

I had the pleasure of recieving premarital counseling from Elder Piecre, he is a dedicated pastor. The first lady, Kandace Pierce, has given me needed spiritual guidance over the years as I seperated from fellowship, bringing me back to worship.

For those of you looking for a place of worship, Carter Memorial is the place. A nice quaint atmosphere and perfect location in downtown Baltimore.

There are many activities for young people and each year the congregation grows spiritually in numbers.

I look forward to seeing you in church!

This is a great Bible believing and Bible teaching Church. However, it is no longer located on Puget Street. True Fellowship House of Prayer is now located at 5629 Harford Road, Baltimore, MD 21214. The telephone number is 410-444-8868.

A complete waste of money. Baltimore City schools far exceed this school. They don't teach and most of the students are behind and the parents don't know until they attempt to take them some place else. They are crooks and have to be threatened to refund money when parents pull their children out. My child is now in public school and being tutored trying to catch up on the 3 wasted years spent at Cardinal Shehan School. All they do is take your money and give you a hard time about fundraisers. Please don't make the same mistake I made...your child will suffer for it!
