My refurbished computer that came an extended warranty had a problem that required me to utilize the warranty. I was a little leary of sending the computer in for service after reading all the bad reviews for CPS. I tool all of my personal info off the unit as a precaution to sending it halfway across the country to people I didn't know for a repair I could have had done down the street in an afternoon - but it would have cost $200 to do it the "easy" way for what we thought the problem was.
CPS received my unit on 12/22. The best I can tell, the work was done on 1/3 and ready to ship back on 1/4. My only complaint was that it was 1/9 before it was actually shipped back. I did call a couple of times to check on the status and always got through to a person quickly and got my questions answered satisfactorily.
I received back every item that was shipped with the unit - I had put a label on everything to help insure receipt all my "stuff". When I plugged the computer in, it WORKED which was the most important thing.
For something that I did not feel would have a very good outcome, I was pleasantly surprised.
I don't usually write reviews, but since I had such a bad feeling about sending my computer into CPS after reading so many bad reviews, I thought I should pass on a good review.
