This place is more expensive than I usually "go for", but we live close by, and proximity for me was more important than price. I am SO GLAD that I went! First of all, there are no male stylists....not that I don't like male stylists, but I LOVE THIS! It keeps the salon feeling girly and fun. The salon has a little boutique and is bustling with gorgeous girls, drinks upon arrival, and is in a quaint historic home. So, the atmosphere is definitely a perk. On the first visit, they paired me with Amber, and it was the best haircut I've had in 37 years. Bar none. I have thick, heavy, hair, and after a haircut, even at other Aveda salons, I leave feeling a little lighter, but cannot comfortably wear my hair down because it's still too heavy. Amber took my mop, and gave it just the right cut. I think a good cut is defined by how great it looks and feels 3, 4, or even 6 weeks after the cut, and I can go a full two months after her cut and it still looks great! I have worn my hair in a ponytail all of my life, because it just looked flat and heavy and in my face when it was "down", and looked really bad short....but now, I can wear it down or up very comfortably...THANK YOU AMBER!!! I've been going to ME for about a year and we live in another city right now, but I come back specifically to go to ME and get my hair done. It's worth every penny.
