I had a terrible experience with Ray's Wrecker. I was very unimpressed with their business ethics. Ray's Wrecker agreed to pick up two used 35 foot containers at the Department of Defense Supply Center in Richmond, and deliver them to me in west central Virginia. We agreed on a price of $450 each. I confirmed everything in an email to Ray's Wrecker six days before the first pickup appointment, which was at 10:00 am on a Thursday October 21, 2010. On the day of the pickup, I received a voicemail at 9:23 am from "Terry" telling me that there had been a "boo-boo" on pricing. When I called him back, I learned that the new price was $850 each. They had me over a barrel, as I was up against the Defense Supply Center's deadline for removing the containers. But still, I refused to give in to these tactics. I told Terry that I was going to make sure everyone on the internet knew how Ray's Wrecker did business. He said he would talk to the owner. I then got a return call, from a man who I assume was the owner. Interestingly, he told me that he would "get an arrest warrant", if I complained about his company on the internet. He also told me that he "didn't need my business" and would not pick up the container, even at the new price. Fortunately, The Defense Supply Center was willing to work with my situation. They let me reschedule the container pickups and I found another wrecker company, Coastal Towing who picked up the containers when they said they would.

Do not go to Cloverleaf tire & Auto!!!! It was recommended to me by a friend so I took my car in to get a check engine light diagnosed. They said they couldn’t figure out the exact problem but if they changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and fuel filter that would fix the problem. They charged me about 700.00 dollars for this which was too much and when I got a block down the road the check engine light went on. So I took it back and they said the real problem was an oxygen sensor that was bad and they would fix that for 180.00 dollars more. They did not even test the sensors the first time which if they did the cost of fixing the car would have been 180.00. So a spent 700.00 dollars on service I did not need and they would not fix the real problem without charging me again the full rate. I even offered to pay the cost of the sensor. If you want to keep your money don’t go to this shop.

The radiator on my 2000 Chevy pickup (35,000 miles) blew up - 4 holes blew out. Called the Chevy dealer who said they work with Broad Rock towing. Called them. Got to my location in about 20 minutes. They got my truck loaded and to the dealer’s location in just a few minutes. Take checks and credit cards. They wrote a receipt so I could turn it into my insurance company for reimbursement. I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH BROAD ROCK TOWING - BUT A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO - A TOW TRUCK WITH ANOTHER COMPANY OFFERED ME 2 RATES - PAYING CASH & GETTING NO RECEIPT or PAY MORE MONEY AND GET A RECEIPT. I DIDN’T THINK THIS OTHER COMPANY WAS HONEST. WHICH MADE ME WONDERED ABOUT DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM. DIDN'T HAVE THIS ISSUE WITH BROAD ROCK TOWING. I added Broad Rock Towing as a contact on my cell phone so the next time I have a problem - I can contact an honest tow business.

Let me tell you about my602.00 bowl of chilie. Let me start off I was wrong I parked in a fire lane at 1am in the morning.I am a cross country trucker at exit 58b on I 95 in Virginia at pilot travel center .since virginia closed most rest areas after 6 there's no parking any where.I went in looking for a spot to park and eat a small wendys chilie none to be found.I did park out of the way of everyone the fire hydrant was 150 ft behind my trailer. I had been there long enough to go inside get my chili and almost had it eaten.understand my truck was off windows down lites in cab on with me in plain view.the wreker pulls up I figure he's going in for a cup of coffe so when he comes back out I,ok il leave.anyway without saing a word jacked me up and ripped me off for $600.not going any deeper because of pending lawsuit.this is a real rip of artist company in my opinion and this is only my opinion.but do a little cheking I'm not the only trucking co or individual that has had this happen to them by this co.I would not use this wreker co if my truck depended on it. It's just wrong ..plus don't jack trucks up with people in them it's unsafe!! By the way I'm also handycapped and my sticker was on my windshield what--sholes. To the individual that replied to my comment ,I already said I was wrong for parking in fire lane, just like they will soon find out they were liable for lifting an occupide vehicle off the ground that was also wrong.no special consideration for being handicap I've already paid for my neglegence. I have since stopped and taken 49 pictures for my attourney and you know what I found out.this area was not properly marked have pics for proof.the no parking for fire lane was all the way back at fire hydrant the wreker signed just stated all illegally parked trucks would be towed not fire lane signs.this will be turning into a class action lawsuit.I love being right!!!Still racking up doctor bills due to this incident no rush will be most likely taking disability due to this incident.Just because pilot allowes you on there property makes them no less lible nor rays YOU DON"T LIFT OCCUPIDE VEHICHLES This is still my opinion only an opinion until proven otherwise.PLEASE FEEL FREE TO TAKE ME TO COURT BEFORE I TAKE YOU>>>We will let a jury decide Let me Know.I go every 90 days for shots in my spine and the pain has increased emensly, since my drop from the truck. And yes that was me talking to you on 64 when you were to much of a side walk sissy to answer,My opinion again......Owner ops and Big companys this is one of those your driver goes in for a cup of coffe and comes back out and the trucks gone.My truck is up for sale and I'm tring to find other livelyhood because this is to much for me to handle anymore .Any body want a nice freightliner?

If your looking for a good place to get your car worked on Merchants at Quioccasin does the job. They got my car done & I was back on the road. I think the manager, Gene helped me. The staff seemed a little young for my taste, but the guys did a good job. If your looking for a good auto shop they were'nt too busy to take my car and they were cheaper than my old repair shop.

On a recent trip out of town trip, I found myself with a cracked windshield. I had a small crack that I just kept "putting up with". With the temperature changes the crack progressed to clear across my windshield. Not the time I wanted to deal with this problem while traveling, but it had become a danger. Taking a chance, not knowing the local businesses I went to Bruce's, they were aware that I was traveling and made every effort to get me in and out in a few hours, made arrangements to get me to a separate shopping area while my car was being worked on, and delivered it to me sparkling clean when the work was done. On top of this the cost was very reasonable.

Driving my car to the market with 2 small kids in car seats. Redneck, hillbilly at the wheel of Accent Auto van with license plate 2DJ9453 apparently does not like my political views. (The last time I checked this was still America & the 1st amendment had not been repealed.) He speeds up coming within inches of my bumper and follows me for approximately 1/2 mile; I was going 15 miles above the speed limit in the passing lane and there were cars in front of me. I'm used to aggressive driving but this was just insane. At the last minute he changes into the right lane, follows me side-by-side & curses me along with blaring his horn, followed by a thumbs down. I was dialing the phone to contact 911 fearing he would hit us (or pull out a gun); fortunately, he just kept on going. (My son was able to get the company details & license plate so I could post the review). If this is any indication of their professionalism, I certainly would avoid them AT ALL COSTS. While you might contract for detailing, your brake lines may be cut if your views don't match theirs.

it has been my pleasure to have curtis as my mechanic for the past 9 years. he has always done a good job in a timely manner. he has fixed anything and everything that has gone wrong with my old car 1992 cutlas and it is still running, thanks to curtis, as good as new with over 200,000 miles. i would take my car to curtis, no hesitation. he is not only a good mechanic but a good man. i can't say enough good things about him.

I have a Lexus RX330 and it seems alot of repair shops want to charge me extra just for driving a "luxury" vehicle.Example: Needed a timing belt replaced, got in touch with one import repair shop on Main St explained I needed this done quickly as possible. They said they would send a estimate via e-mail so I waited and waited and waited. After about a month they did send the estimate for $2400.00! I went to Simply Imports and they had it done in one day AND charged below $800.00! This was a few months ago and I've had no problems.Take it from me,I shopped around and they are the BEST around Richmond for import repair! You will be glad you went and so will your car :)
