I would not recommend that anybody buy anything from Daniels Furniture store's at all. When I was there I Got in to it with the Manager named John Blackman over my money. I was going to buy a dinette table on 12-01-2011 but I did not have all of the money with me so I give him $270.00 on it.
He wrote me up and told me that he will not charge me a layaway fee if I picked it up bye 12-8-2011.
When I came back on the 9th and told he that I change my mind on it.

John Blackman Say That He Would Give Me My Money Back On It But (- $50.00) And I Why He Said It Was For The canceled Fee Of $25.00 And a Layways Fee Of $25.00. Hold The Hell Up!!!!!!!!!! Is That How You Make Your Money Bye Taking My Money It Don't Work That Way With Me Son. I Need All My Money Back And How Are You Going To Charge Me A Layaway Fee For Something That Is Not Being Held Here At The Store? (WTF)

I Gave You Cash Money And You Are Going To Give Me A Check Back. Again (WTF) And Thin It Going To Take 3weeks To Get My Money Back Why Is That I Asked? He Say That We Have To From The Book Keeper And i Can Come Pick It Up On 1-07-2012.

So It That How It Works Here @ Daniels Furniture I Asked? I See Ok I Got Your # And It Time To Play Hard Ball I Work To Damn Hard For My Money Just To Be Given It A Way Like That........ This Is My 1st Review And I Will be Back To Let You All Now WHAT HAPPEN IN THE NEW YEAR

PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ELGIN FURNITURE --- YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!!!!!!!

My Mother-in-Law was involved in a related house explosion, where her house was damage. The house was completly renovated. Mom went out and purchased a complete bedroom set includung mattress and she full paid with CASH. Now she has BED BUGS!!! Mom is an 86 year old women with severe health problems. There is no way she could of had the infestation previously because the house was empty for a year. We called the main office and was told they could assure us there were no bed bugs. that's it they were done. Since Elgin furniture will not step up to the plate and admit some responsiblity our next step will be legal actions.

I totally agree about the staff's unprofessional attitude.

I liked both their furniture and prices but decided not to buy due to their salesman's rudeness. First, I was followed around the store relentlessly... I then asked for a pen to write down the names/prices of items I was interested in because I wanted to think it over and come back the next day. The salesman told me he didn't have a pin but he could write it up for me (smugly meaning he would create a purchase order for me). When I told him I wasn't ready to buy today... he told me he had to go and to come back when I was ready to buy something.

I thought this was extremely rude!!! No one lays out thousands of dollars on the first furniture set they see. lol. Personally, I felt if he was this rude while I was looking... I couldn't image what the follow-up service would be like after I made a purchase. I decided to give my money to a respectful company with decent customer service. That was a huge red flag. No thanks Daniels!!

I call the North Randall location 1/20/2011 5:15pm I told the man that answered the phone that I received a sales papers and I wanted to know price of the futon mattresses. He told my that he did not know and that I could leave my phone number and he mite call me back. I told him that I did not do business that that. shockingly he told me that he did not either and hung up the phone.


I then call the downtown location I asked the same question about the cost of the futon mattresses she gave me a price range and in the same breath she told me that they were not allowed to give out the sale prices over the phone. I thank her for being professional I understood the reasons why she could not ( i figured it was a way to get potential customers to come in the store) but I begun to tell her about the north Randall local she apologized for what was not her doing.

Knowing that all of Daniels are owned by the same corporation I refused to pay this mans salary and buy anything from them!

If I would have call the downtown location first I would not mine at all !!!!!!!!!!!

Through their advice and instructions and the thoroughness of their treatment process we now have our life back again - three months later and there isn't a red itchy bite to be seen on anyone in the family.

I bought a matress from them when I lived in Ohio. Excellent service. I did have a small problem which was a defect (not their fault) but they still made it right. Good place to buy from.

My friend gave me these guys contact number when I lost the ignition key of my car. I contacted dealer for this but he was charging me very high price. I came to these guys in the end and they promised to give me an ultimate solution. A locksmith guy who was dealing in automotive services analyzed the ignition switch and provided me with a new key again very quickly. He charged me less than half price than the dealer. I am too much happy to save my time and money at the same time. Experts are experts indeed.

I got into a real emergency. I was walking to the park one morning and all of a sudden my pregnant sister called me up and told me that she needed me to be brought to the hospital. I then called her home and no one was answering. It turned out the couple had an argument and my friend left the house. She was asking me to get some stuff inside the house while my husband is transporting her to the hospital. To my surprise, the door was heavily secured. There were like a lot of locks that no one can just mess around with. They keys were with my pregnant friend and they were already on their way to the hospital. I then decided to call a locksmith. I called these guys because the condo guard suggested that they are the best they know. So I did. I also checked on the internet the reviews about the job. I was then convinced that they are the one. They came really quick and I was able to get everything that I need in a jetty. Thanks guy s. If only I was the mother, you will be my nephew’s grandson.

I called them and discussed the issue. They came fast to help. Their professionals were very skillful and innovative. These guys upgraded the locking system and the quality was up to the mark.
