Pretty Awesome martial arts styles. Some people don't like that the beginning training focuses on building a solid foundation, so the movements are not necessarily flashy and exciting. The traditional training methods include holding static positions, repeating basic strikes and blocks, and getting the body in such a condition that it can start to easily absorb deeper movements further into training, which is when training gets really exciting!

A lot of people look for a martial art that allows them to train and start showing off to friends and family within a month or so (which really is similar to dancing). I have been practicing for more than a year now, and I can see what practicing Oom Yung Doe has done to build up my strength, reflexes, and mental focus.

Happy to be practicing in such a great style with such great instructors!

I love going to Del Rey! The staff has always been friendly and reasonably attentive. The food is surprisingly good! While I may miss the old days when Belltown was a little ruff around the edges, Del Rey gets me back there. I like to go early in the week when all the suburban crowds are safely out of distance.

I have only made it to the Traveler a handful of times, but every time is great! The food is good and the staff has always been superb! There were several of those typical Seattle dark winter nights when the Traveler was the perfect spot to dry out and warm up a bit! Can't wait to go back again!

This is a good place to get together with a group of beer lovers in West Seattle. Tons of beers on tap that change frequently and a more sophisticated selection than many other pubs. Due to this Beveridge Place is often the location of local beer events and has a weekly trivia night. Its also dog friendly so if you like dogs this is a plus, if you don't you might want to skip it. There is no food served here, but there is a large collection of menus in a book of places nearby that you can order from. It can be crowded, but is fairly large and has two rooms. The front room has a more comfy area if you are smaller group, the back easily accommodates larger groups like your soccer team.

I don't get what other people are complaining about, maybe it's just that they cleaned up their act or are now under new management. I came to the venue an hour before the show started, I had never been to this venue before and had no idea where to go. I asked a security guard outside and he was kind enough to direct me in the right direction. The guy taking the tickets was nice, we had a mini conversation of "Hey how's it going" type thing. I honestly couldn't find anything wrong with the guards, they were nice and mindful, and I didn't witness them throwing people out for stupid crap like they do sometimes at El Corazon. They even let people crowd surf throughout the show, and instead of the guard grabbing him and taking him back into the audience he pushed the person slightly back into the crowd. I minded my own business for most of the show, bought some merch and went home. The sound was great, i've been to 50+ concerts and this was probably one of the better sounding shows i've been too. Last show for Isis and i'm glad it was at this venue.
