OUTRAGEOUS is the word. It was a mistake to not have agreed on the price beforehand. We will never have our wedding photographs because he asks for an outrageous price for the pictures alone, after we have already paid for the photographer. Hiring him meant for us throwing some money out the window and not having any wedding pictures after all. Here are the details.
When we showed up to get the pictures after the wedding, he said the pictures were $500 a piece and that 'just for us' he will give us a 'special' discount of $300/piece. For the pictures that we wanted, that amounted to $45,000 - yes, you read that well, forty-five thousand dollars. Isn't that a wonderful deal !!!! As soon as the kids's college fund reaches $45,000, I'll give that to Alvin, of course. We left without reaching any agreement. Then, after a few weeks of bargaining, he offered to give us 40 pictures of 50KB each for $400 !!! You know, the ones of the size of a fingernail when you print them out. The end result - we don't have the pictures and we paid for the photographer already.
I already reported him with the Better Business Bureau.
The really BAD part is his dishonesty by omission. He never uttered a word about the price until after the photographs were done. He never mentioned the 50 KB size of the photographs he wanted to sell us for $400 until we specifically asked him what the size of the pictures was. His prices, number of photographs and sizes were changing every time when we tried to negotiate with him, but without any apparent rule or order. It seemed he was just making up numbers on the spot and if we had called him another day at another time, he would have given us a different set of numbers.
Judging by how he treats his customers and his sense of business, I believe it's just a matter of time until he goes bankrupt. I think he only makes money off first time customers and people who don't read online reviews, who unfortunately were us this time. Never again. Stay away from him !
