These folks are awesome. I have all of my car repair done there and it's one of the last "full service" gas stations around. Woody is a great manager who delivers what and when he says he will! Prices are reasonable and the work is excellent. Reed is fun to be around and always provides a great smile and outstanding car care when you arrive. Capitol Hill Exxon rocks! Tom Davidson

Capitol Hill Exxon epitomizes a small town gas station in the heart of the Nation's Capitol. I take my Toyota 4 Runner and my 330ci BMW there for service routinely. I never have reason to question Woody and his staff because they are honest. I have walked in with problems on both vehicles and have left with the problems fixed and a "don't worry about it." for a bill. How cool is that?

The mechanics are first rate. The attendants are classic good guys. The owner actually cares about the guys who work for him and the community around him. If you want to feel like you're back in the 1950s when service actually meant getting served properly, go to Capitol Hill Exxon, 4th and Penn, SE, Washington, DC.

My wife and I have been going to Capitol Hill Exxon for several years now and cannot say enough about them. They are honest and serve with integrity, from oil changes to timing belts this service station does it all. They are ASE certified and have served U.S Congress members for well over forty years now. Most importantly they are neighborhood friendly, I can vouch if they did anything to anyones car they would without a doubt own up to it. A business would not be around for long as they have if they went around cheating people.

Got my car serviced there, very professional and I highly recommend it.
Had my tires, brakes, wiper blades, and oil checked. They made relevant recommendations and had the service done.
Quick and professional.

Do not purchase a scooter at this store. I purchased a lemon (a Kymco) which has been in their shop at least 6 times in 3 months for a number of problems. When I asked the owner of the store for an extended warranty because of the never ending problems, his response was that there is nothing he can do because Kymco won't offer one. The scooter is currently dead at 4 months old.

Stay away from stores that do not stand behind their products. There are others than sell scooters.

I brought my car to the Exxon station on Penn Ave & 4th street and wanted to get my oil changed and light bulbs replaced. the mechanics broke my key in the trunk lock and the manager didn't even say something. i pointed it out and then he said that the trunk was already broken, which is true, but they prob janked the key in there until it broke. he wouldn't have said sth, if i wouldn't have pointed it out! then they broke some plastic on my front and again didn't say anything, i didn't saw it at first but went back there to point it out and he said that they didn't do anything. he said my car is already damaged a lot, which is no excuse for them to brake sth and don't tell me. very unfriendly, wouldn't recommend it at all!!!!!!

My husband and I recently had a fender-bender, which left us with a dent in our right passenger side wheel well. Our insurance agency, State Farm, recommended we use American Autobody Shop. Our car was towed there. After many delays and frustrations with them, I picked our car up on Tuesday, Feb 7 and stopped for gas on my way home. When I attempted to turn my car back on, I found the battery was completely dead. The mechanic at the gas station opened the hood to charged the battery, and found that our battery was being held in place by a rope, and under it were shards of cement. It now does not run. It ran perfectly when we had it towed in simply to have the wheel well dent fixed (it was towed to keep the tire from rubbing, not b/c it didn't run). The autobody shop was not authorized to do anything to our battery or anything else under the hood, nor did they inform us of any problems, even when we came in to pick it up. Exacerbating the problem, my husband is a diabetic and had a small, sealed container in the vehicle with sanitary medical supplies including needles and insulin, and the employees of the shop when through it and removed things. I would like to ensure they can't do this to anyone again.
