I have visited this hot spot in the west village numerous times and always had exceptional service and a great time. The Bar staff and bus boys were extremely attentive to our group as we both mingled at the bar and then used a bottle voucher I purchased from gilt.com. The room has such a nice ambiance with the low ceilings and dim lighting. by about 1:30am the club was really going with great music, the DJ really knows how to feel the crowd! All around, great time, will be returning very soon!

Tuesdays is Chicken pot pie and Thursdays is shepherds pie. If you love your comfort food coupled with the atmosphere only found in the oldest pub in new York city, then the Ear Inn is for you. It is 200 years old and looks it and is packed every night. Locals love it and so does everyone else. The burgers are also worth dying for.
Yum yum yum.

The New York Film Academy first opened its doors to students in Robert DeNiro’s Tribeca Film Center. Operating under the philosophy that a top quality education in filmmaking should be available to any person with the drive and ambition to make films, the New York Film Academy (NYFA) offers students an innovative curriculum, award-winning instructors and access to professional equipment. The New York Film Academy is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and licensed by the New York State Education Department.

The New York Film Academy's School of Film and Acting is honored to be the school of choice of many luminaries in the film industry who have sent their family members to study with us. They include Steven Spielberg, Al Pacino, Robert Downey Jr., Jamie Foxx, Jodie Foster, Kevin Kline, Pierce Brosnan, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, Bono(U2), directors Stephen Frears, Peter Bogdonavich, Roger Donaldson and James L. Brooks among others.

The Academy quickly moved into its own New York facilities in Manhattan's Union Square and in Soho and opened a Hollywood campus on the Universal Studios back lot. The New York Film Academy continues to successfully pursue its goal of making film education available to artists everywhere. In addition to hosting programs in half a dozen cities across the United States, NYFA has since established locations all over Europe and Asia. In a groundbreaking move, the Academy brought its unique curriculum, exceptional faculty and top-of-the-line film and editing equipment to Abu Dhabi, UAE, to open the first accredited film school in the Middle East in partnership with the Crown Prince.

NYFA’s arsenal of educational programs has grown considerably since the school’s inception. Serving over 6000 students each year, the school now offers a multitude of intensive hands-on programs of various lengths and academic concentrations. The school’s conservatory programs include: Filmmaking, Acting for Film, Producing, Screenwriting, Journalism, 3D Animation, Documentary Film, Photography, Musical Theatre and Cinematography.

The New York Film Academy also runs programs for those who wish to earn advanced degrees. Students can earn a Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking, Acting for Film, Producing, Cinematography, Photography and Screenwriting, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Filmmaking. The school also runs joint degree programs with the Beijing Film Academy and Shanghai Theatre Academy.

During the summer, the New York Film Academy holds short-term programs for high school students and young people from 10 to 13 years of age at campuses around the world. Along with NYFA’s New York and Universal Studios locations and Disney Studios in Florida, esteemed institutions such as Harvard University, Oxford, Cambridge, Yale, Princeton University, UCLA, KAIST University in Korea and the Catholic University of Porto in Portugal have hosted the film school’s academic camps.

NYFA has hosted film and arts programs in cooperation with The Guggenheim Museum, The Whitney, The Brooklyn Museum, The Metropolitan Museum and The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art. The Cultural Ministry of the Vatican commissioned the New York Film Academy to establish a two-year Master of Fine Arts Degree program in filmmaking entitled "Filming the Ineffable."The New York Film Academy frequently designs special filmmaking programs for organizations such as the U.S. Armed Forces, the New York City public schools and Sony Animation and has partnered with many prestigious cultural institutions to offer film education to its surrounding community.

Our instructors are working professionals who consistently receive the extraordinary praise from our students. Our faculty has received graduate and undergraduate degrees from NYU, Columbia University, UCLA, USC, the American Film Institute, Harvard, Yale, Stanford and Princeton, amongst other respected institutions.

The New York Film Academy has welcomed numerous top actors, producers, directors, writers, editors and other entertainment professionals to lecture for students. Included among these guest lecturers are actors Ben Stiller (Meet the Parents, Zoolander, Nigh at the Museum), Kevin Kline (Fish Called Wanda, Dave), Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction, Dangerous Liaisons) and Joseph Gordon Levitt (Inception), producer Ted Hope (Ice Storm, In the Bedroom), writers David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones) and Paul Schrader (Raging Bull, Taxi Driver), directors Paul Haggis (Crash, Million Dollar Baby) and Joel Shumacher (Batman Forever, Phone Booth), along with many, many others. One of the school’s most recent collaborations is a commercial with famed independent film director Abel Ferrara(King of New York, Bad Lieutenant).

The New York Film Academy faculty and staff are proud of their students’ work. Since the school’s opening, NYFA students have produced a multitude of excellent projects in the arts. To name just a very few NYFA students who have found success: Documentary Filmmaking student Alexander Klosterkemper was recently asked by FIFA to co-produce their documentary about the 2010 World Cup Final. Artist, mother, New York socialite and Greek shipping heiress Angela Ismailos recently released her first film, Great Directors, a documentary featuring conversations with ten of the world’s best minds in film. Fred Boll and fellow Documentary Filmmaking alumnus Annie Woods started a countrywide youth movement in support of President Obama by taking a road trip and shooting a film about young Americans’ political opinions. Acting for Film Alumnus Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is currently sweeping the Mexican film industry in a series of starring roles. The New York Film Academy welcomes the new Miss USA and Miss Teen USA each year with a scholarship towards their filmmaking or acting education. NYFA has also received students sponsored by UNESCO and the Fulbright Foundation.

Filmmaking students often find that the films they produced in school will go on to gain recognition and honors at domestic and international film festivals before they have even graduated, and alumni discover that the connections they make at NYFA and the experience they gain will power them through the industry onto more compelling projects. Acting students take off in the business with the performance and audition training they receive at the New York Film Academy and go on to work in television, theater and film with the confidence necessary to make an impression in a competitive industry.

I have never been so offended by service in my life. I waited over 10 min at the bar and the bartender was a foot away from me. He made numerous eye contact and I called him over.. Waved.. He smiled and continued to chat w/other girls and flip his hair. My boyfriend also tried and nothing! We called over another waitor and he said the other one is my bartender. I was fuming and started yelling at them and saying he would be my bartender if he actually served me. They proceeded to laugh in my face. I wanted to throw a beer can in their face. The other one went to get my order and I obviously did not tip him. My boyfriend told the hostess and she also laughed in his face! I've never been so completely disgusted w/service in my life! Do not go to this place. It's not that amazing and the "SUMMER MARGARITA" has to be the worst drink ever created. Who ever thought it was a good idea to put this on a menu has no taste.

I have been to this place on many past occasions and I have never had a problem. However, last Friday I was treated so rudely by the manager and the waitstaff that I will never return. I have told all of my friends about this treatment so they don't waste their time or money in this establishment either. I was there with a group of 8 people, with 2, 5 person reservations (because the management only allows reservations for 5). We were seated at opposite ends of the room. Everyone is mid 30's, professionals, that were well dressed for an evening out. After about 40 minutes when one of my friends came to sit with us from the other group of 4 the manager came over in about 30 seconds and told us that was against bar policy since my friend had a separate table and he asked my friend to return to his table. At which point I asked for the check. Our bill was off by about 30 dollars since they double charged us for one drink. They fixed it and we left without leaving a tip. When the obnoxious manager was told we were paying our check he responded with "good." By the way, there was no one waiting for those tables, place was really quiet. Think this guy is intent on running the business into the ground. Incidentally, walked across the street to Walker's and had great service. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I will never return.

had a great time happened to find this place looking on citysearch . it a great little spot in soho . i wish there were more spot like this to have fun with friends . i was there celebrating a bday . and mike was very helpful . even though he informed me that private section had been booked and were full he said if u can there a little early u can find seating . but i enjoyed it and would book the place for my own birthday
