The Stratosphere had a facelift. The lobby is re-done, the rooms, some of the casino floor, the hallways. It has more of a Planet Hollywood feel - not that nice, but much closer to it than it ever was before. Pretty cool artwork too in the lobby and elevators, photographs of the strip on canvas. The rooms are a little bare but the flatscreens and upgraded bedding are a plus.

SunShare RV Las Vegas was a great place for us to rent a class A RV for our vacation. Friendly staff and straight forward rental with no hidden fees. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an rv rental in Las Vegas.

C & F blanket wrapped two china cabinets from Las Vegas to LA. Everything was professionally done and the price was quite reasonable. They came on time and delivered both piece without a hitch. I was pleasantly surprised!

Had a good stay here. Hotel looks nice (apparently newly renovated). Rooms were clean & spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Quiet, even on a friday or saturday night. Good value for the Strip. Downside: the South Beach Marketplace food was not good. Boring & overpriced. Took 3 tries to actually order something because the items we chose from the menu were `no longer available` and they just hadn`t made new menus yet. Thank goodness the Strip has so many better choices!

This hotel Customer Service sucks big time, they often false advertise that they can accommodated their customers with two beds and a sleeper sofa when in fact the hotel doesn't at all offer a room that has two beds each room only has 1 queen bed. Then when you get to the hotel and realize you have then wrong room and complain they tell you that they never advertise that and that there is nothing they can do to help you...( with a real I don't give a shit attitude). their house keeping takes for ever to come to your room, you have to call down three times before they finally come to your room, and they charge you a arm and a leg for everything.... For the money that you pay to stay there I would go else where for a better customer service.

The Sahara will be closing in May. It's more or less a beater now but in the day it was a favorite of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. I had a good experience here during my one stay, as I booked this place for $25 on a Friday night and they upgraded me to the penthouse, which was really old school but had an awesome full glass wall view of the strip.

I took a cab from the airport to the Hard Rock.

The driver took me through a tunnel on to the highway, past Mandalay Bay, on to Las Vegas blvd. then down Harmon.

When I finally got to the Hard Rock, the ride was almost $30. Can you believe that!

You should have seen his reaction after replying to his question about this being my first time out here from England - to which I replied, the 2nd time this week, as I have an important business contact here in Vegas.

His jaw dropped....

...needless to say I called the taxi cab authority...

Go online and google "desert cab long hauling"

After years of living in California I had to move back to take care of my parents in Japan. I wanted to take the majority of my furniture with me, but shipping is a pain. At least shipping was a pain until I found Carex Shipping. I have to thank Carex for safely getting my possessions to where they needed to be.

Interestingly enough there is no casino or nightclub here, only 64 stories of rooms, which are impressive and are actually suites. They all have kitchenettes and even coffee makers (extremely rare in Vegas). It's located on a street perpendicular to the Encore and across the street from Fashion Show Mall. The pool - this is a nice perk - is heated and open all year. And the fitness center is open until 10, not 7 or 8 like several others.
