Thank you for your interest in BLS Trucking, Inc. I am surprised at some of the reviews that I am finding and wish that these were handled on a more professional level. A lack of communication tends to be the breakdown in many bad situations, and we have processes in place to handle any sort of issues that any employee has in any situation. I challenge that any of these processes were followed properly in any of these bad situations.

About our company…BLS Trucking specializes in delivering building materials and has been in business for over 20 years. We operate out of 15 different states, with over 150 employees with our corporate office in Dayton, Ohio. Through strategic planning, solid management, and hard work from our employees, we have been able to expand our business into 11 additional states in the last 5 years. This growth, in these economic times, has been a result from our solid management and hard-working dedicated employees and is clearly recognized by our owner, Scott Foster. Scott continues to do what it takes behind the scenes (working with banks, truck manufacturers, health insurance companies…etc.) to keep costs under control, to keep this company strong, and ultimately reward those that help make us successful and continue our growth. We continue to offer competitive wages to our employees and even though we have suffered some very heavy financial losses in the last few years, we were able to reward every qualified employee in our company this last year with a 15% pension, which is almost unheard of in these times (qualified employees must have been with the company for at least one fiscal year).

Looking at the numbers and as mentioned above, we have over 150 employees. Over 66% of these employees have been here for over a year, many of which have been here for over 3 years. Keeping those numbers in mind, 10 of our 17 markets that we are in all have started in the last 3 years.

We apologize to anybody that has had an unsatisfactory employment experience with our company and wish you the best in the future. We also invite any potential new employees to contact myself, any of our current employees in your area, and any of our management staff. This will provide you with the true facts about our organization. I think that you will find that we are a very fair company that rewards individuals for their hard work! BLS Trucking is the most crooked, cut throat, lying, backstabbing, sorry operation on the face of the Earth! They cut driver's pay percentage 4 times in the last few years. If you miss a day of work, they take a day of vacation and don't pay you for it either. If anything goes wrong , no matter whose fault it is, the driver is made to pay for it. If you get a DOT out of service violation, not only do you get to pay the ticket, BLS will also take $50 out of your paycheck. They do this because if a certain percentage of their trucks get violations, they are up for an audit from the DOT. They don't want all the crap they are doing found out evidentally. All the big talk about how GPS has made them profitable is crap. If the truck idles too long to suit them, they find out through GPS and then threaten to try to make you pay for extra fuel. If you go to 84 lumber's jobsite with no driveway and it is pouring down rain, you are supposed to get in and out anyway, not make ruts, not get stuck, and not get mud on the road. If you do get stuck, you get to pay to be pulled out! Seems like a pattern. If 84 Lumber, the customer BLS delivers for, takes up for you when BLS tries to make you pay for everything you have no control over, they fire you. They say it is a termination offense for involving the customer with BLS business. If you refuse to pay for any little thing, they will fire you. They will tell the unemployment office that you were negligent and act like you deliberately vandalized property to keep you from getting benefits. Not only that, they will pay you minimum wage for your last paycheck. That is if you are smart enough not to sign the paper when they fire you stating you agree that your last check will be mailed after ALL claims have been cleared. Plus there is some piece of crap at the office that lies when they get caught paying people minimum wage on their last check. They always say they didn't know it was illegal. But they still do it all the time and get away with it because most never fight it. State labor boards say all this is illegal, but at the same time won't do anything about it. DON'T USE BLS TRUCKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We saw from the outside, looked nice. Went into the room, smell hit us as soom as we opened the door! Sheets were dirty, holes in walls. turned on the TV, no cable, just porn on the 1 channel that picked up! We went into the office after about the 10 minutes we used to find another hotel, and she refused to refund even half the money. Still went to a better hotel, after using some choice words with the owner!

upon our arrival at approx 4:30pm the trashcan outside our room was over flowing & a empty beer box & who bag of empty beers were laying on the ground obviously from the night before. We drove 4hrs to see a concert & were looking forward toa nice trip. We were so grossed out about the room we procrastinated to return and almost just drove home.The floor was never vacuumed, a lg.water stain on the ceiling in sleep area &sink area. Had to kill bugs in the bathroom,ceiling light in the bathroom was actually falling out & a hole in the ceiling in the shower made us feel as being watched.smoke detector falling off ceiling,broken desk chair,toilet wobbled when using it.bathroom door had dirty spashmarks all over it.,Cobwebs in the corners, there was actually a BOOGER smeared on the bathroom door and frame! we were afraid to get into bed fearing bedbugs and since the room was filthy assumed the sheets were also, I can only imagine what was on them and the spread!! My husband wanted to just go home but i was too tired to drive back home so we were forced to stick it out. I will NEVER recommend anyone to stay there. I have stayed in lots of places in my life i thought were bad, but this one beats all!!!! IF NOT FOR THE MEMEORY OF THE CONCERT MY TRIP WOULD BE RUINED!!

I am a Dialysis patient and Cab companies are the Life line for any dialysis patient. I was mistreated and ignored on numerous occasions. Drivers were not well mannered and always late. Many times i smelled alcohol or drugs and careless driving. They lost me as a customer. Now after Switching i am much comfortable with Aircity. And i really appreciate their services and treatment.

home location with only two agents, but many years of experience. Goes over every detail of your trip. Shops for the best price with their use of many different tour operators Try on your own and they will usually always beat or match what you can get..

The staff is genuinely warm and pet friendly. The hotel is close to any kind of retail business or service you may need. Truly felt comfortable and welcome there.

This company has the worst management ever. How can one company could have so managers and still be so poorly ran? One issue may be the exceptionally low pay given to employees(can't get quality if you don't pay for it!). Instead of paying for GPS why don't they start working on paying enough to get skilled staff. The owner of this company should be ashamed of himself for being such a rober barron and riding on the backs of his low paid employees to make a profit. How this man can sleep at night knowing he pays below a living wage to his staff is disheartening to say the least. And how this company can leagally get away with fining his employees for every infraction is beyond me. There is no words to describe how unethically this company is ran. (just because a company can get away with doing something a certain way doesn't mean they should).
