Our pets love The Pet Shack! We have been going there for 10 years and have always had a great experience! They are much more reasonably priced than those corporate places and the owner lives right on the property! We never worry when Sammy and Sally stay there! Our dogs just run right in the door!

When I picked Bella up she was so happy I saw her walking out before she saw me and her tail was up and wagging. She is a timid dog but she wasn't acting that way at all. She felt safe.

PetSuites Dayton was beautiful! Sounds silly, but it was so nice to walk into the facility. The 'kennel' part did not smell like it was a kennel, kept very clean. Glad to know that my dog was staying indoors unless taken out for play/potty. Best nail trim/cut he's ever had! Its a 30 minute drive to PetSuites from our home but it was worth it. Loved to hear the feedback at his pickup, showed he really was monitored, which is great with a dog that has some separation issues!"

I was hoping this was a privately run business by people who love dogs. I was wrong. When we picked up our beagle he was completely emaciated. His skin was sagging, which is a sign of dehydration. He was lethargic and when we took him to the vet we found out he had contracted worms. We ended spending $200 dollars in vet bills and medication to get him healthy again. I don’t think he ate or drank the whole 3 days he was there. Do not leave your pet here. They have a sign on the door that says “board at your own risk” and they mean it!!! Whatever you save in money you will spend it vet bills later.

Disgustingly dirty throughout, staff rude and short to customers with nasty attitudes, no talent at healing, no empathy towards animals or owners. If you've never discovered that the Vet industry is just a meat market to them, this place will open your eyes. NEVER TAKE A PET YOU CARE ABOUT HERE! I'll be taking them to court shortly!

This store and all other mall pet stores buy their dogs from puppy mills. Puppy mills are places where dogs are kept in stacked, tiny wire cages, urinating and defecating on one another and forced to breed so they can sell the puppies to pet stores. The dogs never see sunlight, never touch the grass and never feel a loving touch from a human. When they are no longer able to breed, they are simply shot and their bodies burned. The breeding stock, as they're called, have many genetic defects that are passed along to those cute puppies you see IN THIS STORE. Most of the puppies either already have diseases or are incubators of disease. Almost EVERY SINGLE ONE. Fetch and all mall pet stores are trying to sell you sick dogs for an unbelievable profit. It costs cents on the dollar to "raise" a puppy mill dog, these stores are selling you, the consumer, these sick puppies for sometimes thousands of dollars. Ask to see the paperwork on where a dog in a puppy store comes from, if its from out of state, it's from a puppy mill. The staff everyone complains about here are trained to say that the puppies are from a local breeder. THEY ARE NOT. They may also tell you that the dogs will be euthanized if they are not sold at the store. This is completely false. They will cut the price over and over again (while still turning a profit). If the dog still does not sell at the "reduced" price, they will give the dog away rather than euthanizing it or giving it back to the puppy mill. A puppy mill will not do business with a store that returns too many dogs. Please, do not buy a dog from a puppy store. There are many dogs available for adoption in local shelters, no matter where you live. There are many, many purebred dogs in shelters as well. Visit petfinder to see a list of dogs in your local shelter. You can also google prisoners of greed to find out exactly how puppy mills operate and to see photos as well. (sorry, no urls allowed in the post) Please, please...don't buy from Fetch or any other mall pet store.
