Be cautious when you buy anything at Furniture Factory Warehouse. The store's location is 8300 Gateway East. This store will charge you a delivery fee without any warranty on its merchandise. It will not refund you for any defective and non-replaceable item.
I bought a set of furniture for my den at Furniture Factory Warehouse last Saturday. The store delivered, with a $50 fee, a defective chair with a tear to its base to my house. My wife contacted the store regarding the defective chair. Mike, one of the store's supervisors, offered my wife a second delivery on September 7. According to Mike, the store would deliver a new chair to my house and pick up the defective one at the same time. However, Mike decided today that I needed to pay a fee for the second delivery. Without paying the fee, Mike insisted that I would have to take the chair to his store for the exchange.
I got help from one of my wonderful neighbors. He helped to haul the damaged chair in his pick-up truck to the store for the exchange. The store did not tell me the fact that it failed to find any brand new and defect-free chair to replace the torn piece. It was after I arrived to the store that I learned of the situation. The fact was that the warehouse literally stocked nothing but the damaged chairs.
I requested the store to take back the furniture set and grant me a full refund since the store could not make a proper replacement. Mike's boss and the store's manager, Greg, repeatedly told me that the store was not going to refund me for the set regardless of any situation. They stated many times that it was not the store's fault that the chair had a tear. They also insisted that there was nothing they could do to resolve the problem. They basically wanted me to know that I was stuck with the defective chair no matter what I said.
Greg finally instructed his warehouse employees to repair the tear, but more mistake was en route. The manufacturer created this furniture group with a pouch under the sofa, loveseat, chair, and ottoman. A pouch was created under each piece of furniture to store its portable legs inside the pocket for moving convenience. However, the new covering for the chair has actually covered up the original pouch. I will have to take off the staples from the covering in order to have an access to the pouch, and staple the covering back on to the base in order to cover up the tear. This is a new defect over the old one.
My wife also communicated with the store at times in reference to the chair, but the store personnel told her what they had told me. They were united and very consistent in terms of bullying their customers. Before I left the store, my wife called Greg. She said to him, "I just want to tell you that no wonder your store is going out of business because it is full of crooks."
