Peoples Bank Unusual has been a nightmare. I am at about 2 months now trying to get a mortgage. Unfortunately I am to far along to back out. This business is run like a Telemarketing Company. They have split the mortgage process into a series of processes handled by robotic employees who really do not know what they are doing or why. The managers do not understand the intent of regulations passed to control past ills and apply them across the board without any common sense. The robotic processers, sales, customer service robot, deciders, office managers have no idea what customer service is. It is they are all spell checkers just pushing paper along through a system without talking to each other or the poor customer. I give this group 1 star as far as a rating and that is just for a real good sales pitch.

This company hired us as a subcontractor to do an investigation in the greater Denver, Colorado area and after completing the investigation has paid pennies on the dollar. This is the first time in 16 years of having our company that I have been taken for a ride by another private investigator. We took the work from Grant Bauer on short notice as a rush case and did not do our due diligence on him or his company. Big mistake on our part. After one of our investigators did a simple internet search to get a phone number for his company there are at least 6 other investigators who are in the same situation from various parts of the US. I contacted Grant Bauer directly and questioned him on the negative posts and his response was that he had good reasons to not pay or partially pay those investigators. One concern that I had when I saw all of the negative information and heard his response was were they all wrong? I highly doubt that six different individuals were horrible investigators. I don't know any of the other investigators personally but I do know what type of business we run and our reputation within the industry is top notch and we have a great deal of integrity. What is the excuse with us? It has become very apparent after viewing the very similar situations that have been posted on various websites that Bauer Investigations and specifically Grant Bauer himself has a consistent track record of hiring private investigators and not paying them for their work. I have contacted the New Mexico Attorney General's office and hopefully they will be doing their own investigating on his shady business practices. To anyone thinking of doing business with Bauer Investigations or Grant Bauer... Think long and hard and don't be pressured into anything last minute. Hopefully this post will be read by individuals who have character and integrity and you will not have to go through the process that I and several of my industry partners have.

Do not sub-contract for this rip-off artist. I to fell into this black hole. I conducted investigations for this company for almost 3 months. I did 13 assignments, invoiced over $3500.00 in services. I have only been paid for 3 invoices!



When I email or call them, I get the runaround: You will be paid or as soon as my clients pay us..... etc.



Every time I request, now demand, my money, Grant Bauer the owner, emails me back with a dirty little note saying not to bother him. I will get the money when he sends it. These guys are a RIP-OFF. Do not work for them. I am not the only investigator that feels this way. Just look at the other comments in the "Rip-Off Report"



Well, I am taking action, I have notified BSIS, The New Mexico BBB and I am suing them in Small Claims Court. Another thing, he does not send his sub-contractors a W-9 form or any other TAX form needed. The IRS is interested in that too.



This guy needs his PI license taken away.

Bauer Investigations is a RIPOFF. I had a bad feeling when Grant Bauer called and offered me a job... At first I thought that they were just small and unorganized. Now I'm pretty sure that they are just con artist. They wanted me to work a case 4 hours away. I called into the office to arrange a hotel for the case. Grant informed me that it is their company policy for investigators to drive to the hotel then call the office to have them make the reservation.... WTF! So the day of the case I called to request a formal employment offer letter. (Since they never sent one.) They never sent me any Human resources or TAX forms! They sent the letter and I headed to the case. Once I arrived near thehotel I called them to have them make my reservation. I had to wait in the lobby for an hour while they made my reservation. Then to top it off, they only made my reservation for one day. (It was a three day case! ) I informed them of this error and nothing was done. So the next day the hotel called and said that I needed to have them extend my reservation or I needed to leave the room. I had to call them again to get it fixed. After the case was over they attempted to send me out of state and they didn't want to provide a hotel for a case that was 317 miles AWAY!

It has been 8 1/2 weeks since I worked the case for them and I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN PAID! Don't waste your time and gas working for these scammers.

I have a small business and am interested in working with an accountant to help me with gross receipts tax. I found James to be very curt and rude. Maybe he's only interested in the high rollers and doesnt want my monthly payment. Good luck with that attitude!

Mr Bernstein is incompetent and dishonsest accountan. he did a really bad job with my tax return has no clue what he is doing, however, never forgets to overcharge you for something that he never did. beware of this dishonest hypocrite and a phony.

They completed the assignment in a timely manner and more importantly is a professional manner. I received a detailed report regarding their findings.
