OK. i'm like sort of a just for fun recreational player. i bought this paddle a couple months ago, and my playing skills have gone through the friggin rooff. i love that ads technology stuff. i dont know what the hell it is, but it looks awesome, feels awesome, and plays awesome. My hands and fingers used to get chafed on that sandy grip on my old stiga racket, but this soft grip is in a league of its own. Also, when my hand gets sweaty, the grip stays tight, and my paddle wont go flying when i spike the ball (beleive me, this HAS happened). it definitely turns heads when i use it in public, and people think i spent hundreds of dollars for this paddle, but i think i WOULD spent hundreds of dollars for this paddle of the gods. i am sort of a switch hitter so to speak. i only use my right hand, but i hold it shakehold style, chinese penhold, and japanese/korean penhold-depending on whom im playing. the ONE AND ONLY DOWNSIDE!!! ITS A SMALL ONE!!!! is that when i am holding it japanese/korean pen style (which is my favorite hold) it gets a bit bulky where my finger goes (on the cornilleau sign), but i definitely work through this. OVERALL:THIS IS A GREAT PADDLE FORR RECREATIONAL PLAY, BUT THE ITTF STATES THAT ALL PADDLES MUST HAVE LIKE 80% WOOD. EVEN THOUGH THIS PADDLE LOOKS AMAZING, DONT, I REPEAT, DONT, USE THIS IF YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL PLAYER-

yours truely,
the Paddler

Honestly after using a real custom made paddle (Donic Waldner Senso Carbon Blade with Butterfly Tempest rubber), the Brian Pace is not a good paddle at all. The difference is huge, hitting the ball with the Donic is just completely different.

Surprised to find this review. I have also bought this from amazon before. However, I got a better price at opentip.com recently. 144 balls at the price $22.79 after using the 5% off coupon. Really good deal!

It is a very soft ball, flexable and should be used for traning use only.

Bought this as an upgrade to a $4 paddle. I'm no expert, but been using it for months and nothing to complain about.

Decent all-rounder at an affordable price.

You can put some good spin on these balls. But the new ones i saw used in the Olympics are much larger than these and would seem to be better.

I consider myself an intermediate player. I don't know if I am at the level where the raquet makes a difference already, but with this raquet I am able to give and counter spins much more easily, so i am a fan. I'll do what other people say and be sure to clean it after each session to keep the spin quality as long as I can.
