Led a suicide group when the Hale-Bopp comet came by. Now who could get excited by Hale-Bopp? Really?

I have been attending CFC in Federal Way, WA for the past couple of months and I'm done. All of you who say Casey and Wendy Treat are in it for the money are spot on are! For those who don't believe, go to CFC for yourself and see it in action! It's a shame! Their kids are just as arrogant as they are! It's s shame what they are doing to the congregation/s by stealing their money. They don't even disclose what their salaries are, and there isn't even a board of deacons. Please pray for the congregation as this is a cult/scam.

Is it me or are most of the people here against Dr Scudder? I mention that because I noticed that any review against him had more "DISAGREE" clicks than "AGREE" and that seems odd when most people coming here are against him. How can most be against him but have more disagrees posted against their comments than agree? I almost suspect that fans of Dr Scudder are coming here purposely to click "DISAGREE" with those who oppose.

I saw one comment that gave Dr Scudder 4 stars and the review simply said, "Great teacher." 2 people found that "helpful." 1 found it "funny." 35 agreed and 14 disagreed. Absolutely no substance to that review and it gets 35 agrees when majority here disagree with Scudder. How is "Great teacher" a great review? I could not get that lucky reviewing a book at amazon.com that said, "Great book." I also noticed a string of 4 to 5 star one-line reviews after that comment that received more "AGREE" than "DISAGREE."

I find that a bit odd when 33 out of 49 reviews were negative. Somehow people visiting Rate-it-All are not visiting to see whether Quentin Bible is a good choice for a church but members from Quentin Bible and former members who moved away are coming here frequently to click "DISAGREE" with those who oppose. It is clear that James Scudder has a group of loyal followers wanting to keep people from believing the negative reviews. It "almost" seems cultish.

I have not been to Quentin Bible for some time now. I cannot say that I had a bad experience there as I never allowed myself to get too involved, and I attended for only a few months. I did find some of the people to be terribly rude but you will have that in any large church. I was raised in fundamentalism and the overall attitude of the pastoral staff was wearing me down. I had been part of religious abuse that had taken a toll on me and my attending Quentin was a place of last resort for me to hopefully find freedom. I still found the same typical unfriendly environment that I found in two other fundamental churches I attended and decided that I would do better to leave quietly. I officially left fundamentalism behind and have been wonderfully blessed since then.

James Scudder was an interesting preacher as I cannot say that he failed to hold my attention when there. I enjoyed the music there too. I thought it was a nice looking church.

If you are "actually" here to review the church as a possible new church and are not a Scudder Internet troll to click "disagree" the moment one disagrees with their precious church then review the positive and negative reviews here carefully. Some of the negative reviews appear to come from people who never attended. Some of the positive reviews are questionable as well. One guy was angry with anyone who disagreed with the church and even called such people liars who found Quentin to be a bad experience. I would say to ignore such people but if people are going to defend Quentin acting like that can give you some "possible" indication of the church attitude.

Knowledge is power so use the reviews to your advantage. Do not bother going by how many agree or disagree here as it is obviously meaningless. Often religious abuse is subtle in the beginning. If you are leaving a church service feeling guilty all the time and questioning your every motive is to stop and question the church. You do not need pay some church to tell you what everything is wrong with you as you can get that info from your spouse for free :)

If you decide to make Quentin your home church then know at what point you will draw the line if you notice anything happening to you or your family that starts mirroring the negative reviews in here.

Unlike the often quoted 1.2 billion followers that the media has been attributing to the Catholic Church in EVERY news story of the last month, Justin Bieber's followers are TRUE BELIEVERS and far more devout.

And all of them came to their faith by individual choice. They weren't born into it, or required to convert for the purpose of matrimony, like all but about 5,000 of the 1.2 billion Catholics.
