I started out as an on-campus student, taking classes 2-3 days a week & studying my butt off. My commute was about 45 minutes away from campus, so I was able to live at home & save some of my money. As an on-campus student, I was very pleased with the overall feel of the campus environment, as the students & staff were always pleasant to be around and there was always something fun to do during your free time. What I love most about Berkeley College is the fact you are not just another student. Your professors take the time to get to know you & stick with you until you have the material down pat. They don't give up on you and even after you're long out of their classes, they still always remember you (that's of course if you make a good impression...haha)
All joking aside though, it is a pleasant experience being on the Berkeley campuses. What's also nice is the free tutoring that's available and the free career services department. They really take the time to meet with you, revise your resume, and send you towards career opportunities that meet what you are looking to do with your career. They are also there for the rest of your lifetime...yes, they make a long-term commitment to you. You don't get this from other colleges and you are then stuck to do these things on your own.
You should also like the fact that Berkeley likes to place you into an internship before graduation just so you can gain some experience in your field before jumping into something full time. This was extremely beneficial and a great learning experience.
I encourage everyone to visit the campuses if you are considering a college education at Berkeley College. Berkeley also has an online degree program which I ended up switching into, to finish my bachelors in marketing since I decided to work more hours and needed the flexibility of online learning.
