The blue angels turns are so quick it seems like they'll crash into each other, with 4 flying in unison.  Bars, restaurants and rooftops in the marina, fisherman's wharf, chrissy field. etc are packed, and with the October weather in SF it makes for a great weekend. The downside is that when they fly over my apartment, they set off all the car alarms on the street.

For a 3:30 am performance, this band bought the party to Woodstock... to this very day, when I watch the footage of "I Wanna take You Higher" especially starting at 7:05 on the You Tube version of this hit, my hairs stand up. In all the years of my life, I have never seen a live performance that has moved me more than this one.

FINAL UPDATE: Britney Spears' Femme Fatale concert was as good as expected. I didn't end up seeing her in Jacksonville, but at Orlando's Amway Center. And believe it or not, she did sing live for at least half of the concert when she wasn't doing dance routines, etc. Way better than her first tour years and years ago. I did find her angel sequence in the air was a little bit too much for her persona, but still good overall and I highly recommend it, even if her live voice isn't that great.

For those of you that want to see her in Jacksonville, it will be on 7-23. You will not find good seats though.

UPDATE: 2 friends saw Britney live last night in Las Vegas and said it was the best Brit concert they have been to! Really looking forward to Jacksonville!


I have seen the legendary Ms. Britney Spears live 2 times and I'm looking forward to the "Femme Fatale"concert on July 23rd, 2011 at Jacksonville's Veteran's Memorial Arena. This song will be performed on the Femme Fatale Tour.

Shockingly overrated by Americans, Mardi Gras does have a certain appeal. Americans behave accordingly with sex and booze in a way that is permissive and they step outside of their little Puritan enclaves.

On the one had, I like it. On the other hand, I think it's pathetic. Why do adults need a special place to drink, party, and screw?

The food of this locale kick it to three stars. Just hold onto your wallet.
