Thu Apr 10 2008A jiggle show indeed: but for the type of Ivy League Women's Studies professors who offer Women's Studies 432: Testicles =Oppression, when they feel like they need to get out of character and be the opposite of what they are for a thrill...

Thu Jul 06 2006I used to watch Xena all the time. I can't really explain what drew me to television to watch: Greek mythology(which I like), pretty girls dressed in those barely there colthes, or the whole superhero theme. God knows! Maybe all of it together? The bottom line is I enjoyed watching it. It was quite different form anything on television.

Thu Feb 23 2006Exceeds expectations and delivers some of the best story telling and real emotion on T.V. Great costumes, sets, special effects. Great relationship drama between the two main characters. I saw the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and it is similar but pales in comparison to most episodes of Xena. Lucy Lawless is gorgeous and does a great job of making the character hers and hers alone. p.s. I am not a lesbian. I would do Kevin Sorbo in a second.

Mon Nov 01 2004This show like Hercules took Greek methology and totally rearranged it but tried to stay with some of the basics but eventually it ran out of steam. I love Lucy I think she is great and is perfect for the part. When the story line was Warrior Pricess turn to hero it was at it's best but then every one had kids popping up and the gods were more mortal it just was not the same. But the babes on this show made Bay Watch look like Dog Watch.

Sat Jan 17 2004This is one of my all time favorite show! I love the characters and greek mythology. The woman with a dark past who tries to redeem herself by doing good and her friend who guides her. It's rather poetic I think. A beautiful story about friendship, strength, weakness and preseverance. I'm not gay nor male and I still love the story. I can relate to the charactors about the good fight and the losses along the way...Losing your way and finding it back again. This show got me through some very difficult times and I hate when people say it's a lesbo show because that is not what it was about, and if that is all they were getting out of Xena, then they were only watching what they wanted to see. Battle on Xena! Lucy and Renee are awesome!

Fri Jul 11 2003Watched the show maybe twice, I hated it. My daughter which enjoyed Hercules at the time, even hated it. Sorry, but nothing was redeeming about this one.

Thu Mar 13 2003The series can be silly and childish, but I like to watch programs about independent woman’s, who kick the ass, of men!. I wish I could fight like Xena, but I can only dream about it, I am not a warrior princess.

Sun Feb 23 2003This is one of the best TV series I have ever gotten into. It has substance, comedy, drama, and action. I love the characters and how they blend in history into the show. A lot like how Forest Gump blended history into his movie. I can't rave about this show enough!

Thu Jul 05 2001What was so remarkable about this program is the closeness that that the two lead characters shared. It far beyond family, friends or sexuality. I began watching the show during its second season and immediately became a Xenite. The actors, writing, special effects - all were top-notch. If there is a way to bring this show back, I'm for it. This show was the greatest! HAIL XENA!

Wed Mar 28 2001Hi,I have just been reading some of the comments regarding Xena,i have been a fan of this character since the begining.Xena is a show that has alot of strenghts,in regards to how the actors portray their character and it shows while watching them.Lucy Lawless i feel is alot different then her character Xena and i like that about her.Sometimes it's while watching people act you can see the real person in the character that they are playing.I hope these comments are of use too. Thanks

Tue Mar 27 2001I have been watching this show since the Hercules episodes that began it all. I couldn't say it better than Kris10 and elun1641et, but I will try to add my two dinars, as we say in the Xenaverse. This show has been so instrumental in my life - it has made me laugh and cry, it has introduced me to people from around the globe, including my life partner, whom I met at a Xena function. The culture that Xena has created is incredibly far-reaching, and it all comes down to this incredible little show. Part comedy, part drama - all unique. It pushes all the lines, without ever becoming tasteless. The ingenuity put into this show is astounding, and yet the show and the community it has created are the first to go tongue-in-cheek, never taking ourselves seriously. It's all in good fun, and I can never express what it's meant to me. It will always be a part of my life and who I am.

Tue Mar 27 2001What is flawless? Certainly not Xena. The show Xena: Warrior Princess is about some things that one cannot point a single finger to. Some might be surprised to see a human depth in the show that is very uncommon in the usual fantasy shows. Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor share a sparkling, genuine and lovable chemistry which makes going to hell and back for love and companionship believable as nothing else. To catch one episode here and there is one thing. To watch two or three episodes in a row makes a huge difference. Here we have the cast and crew that actually went; "Let´s do musicals!" and "Lets mix comedy episodes and drama episodes." There´s so many aspects of this seemingly simple fantasy show. Sword and sorcery? Yep. Some occationally bad guest stars? It happens. Impossible highflips and using world history as a tool of imagination? You bet! Put the good and the bad together. Laugh at it, cry with it. Soon you´ll see the charm that is Xena!

Tue Mar 27 2001Evidently there is something that needs to be said that has not been. When this show started 6 years ago, there were very few women who were viewed as "heroines" in the t.v. shows. There were women who were listed as co-stars or supporting actors of the male "hero's", but the STARs of the shows were the males. This show opened the way for women to be the STARs (heroines) of the shows of today...they were allowed to be the one(s) that so many current shows revolved around. Not since "Cagney & Lacy" and Angie Dickinson's show has there been such a thing. It is nice to see "heroines" on t.v. for women to admire for their independence and strength and this show helped to get it started. Hopefully, the movie's will get the idea soon.

Tue Mar 27 2001this show is without a doubt, the greatest show i've ever had the privelidge of watching. everybody involved with the show is extremely talented, from the actors to the writers. not only have they put out a show that is visually superior to anything i've ever seen on tv, but also with the constant devolpment of the characters, the show is always evolving and changing, without wearing itself thin with the same old premises we are used to seeing. those who put the show down for being unrealistic or just an excuse to look at scantily clad women, either haven't watched the show enough to realize the incredible storielines and devolopments going on, or they just don't get it. greatest tv show ever.

Tue Mar 27 2001Although it took me some time to warm up to Xena, it is now by far my favorite show on television. A unique combination of camp, romance and action, the show is like a wild ride - you are never sure where it will lead you, but its always entertaining. One of the aspects of the show I greatly appreciate is its ability to rewrite Western Myths, this time placing strong independent women at the center, yet at the same time it does it in a way that never takes itself too seriously. Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor have a unique chemistry together, which makes the drama that much more engaging. I never miss an episode.

Tue Mar 27 2001Xena is the absolute best show to make it to TV. The acting, writing, directing, everything is fantastic, Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor are two of the best talented and versatile actresses ever. The foundation of XWP is Xena and Gabrielle's relationship, how ever one might see it, and Lucy and Renee's chemistry comes across so strong, that that foundation is unbreakable. Battle On!

Tue Mar 27 2001This thing is still on? I figured it was cancelled a year ago. When it first came out, I was a regular. I loved this show. Great humour, outrageous fight scenes, and a compelling storyline. But, after the first 2.5 seasons, they completely ran out of new ideas. It REALLY went down hill.

Tue Mar 27 2001Not only are the actresses in this show, gorgeous, they are also great at their craft. X:WP has had consistently good episodes, both in comedies and in drama. The chemistry between the stars is sizzeling, and the action is very well choreoraphed. I love this show, it is so versatile in its subject matter and presentation, it never gets boring.

Tue Mar 27 2001This is the only show I have ever watched where sex(period) is not an issue. Men and women are equal on all levels. Sexuality is what it is.

Tue Mar 27 2001The best show on tv. Filled with humor, passion and pathos. If you've never watched Xena you don't know what you're missing.

Mon Mar 26 2001This is a smart show. Once a viewer gets past the costumes and jokes, they will see the complex storyline and well-developed characters. A show that fandom is never too late for. :)

Mon Mar 26 2001Two butt kicking, beautiful women going it alone, fighting the good fight for the greater good. A good mixture of Comedy, drama, and camp. Great fight scenes. Loving moments. Xena and Gabrielle are da bomb. Check it out:-)
