Tue Sep 08 2009This is a very fun game. It brought back fun memory of old wwf days of wrestling when it was actually fun to watch wrestling. Classic matches like Bret Hart vs Yokozuna among others made this a buy that delivers value for your money. The relive, redefine and recreate modes are just great and bring back memories when i was a kid watching those matches. controls were easy to understand for me since this is the first wrestling game i have played after the nintendo era monday night raw. Wrestlers look real. There are a few niggles in the game as usual. When you do ladder match with intercontinental belt on the line, when you win you actually pull down the wwe championshop belt then later it gets converted to an intercontinental belt. The only thing i disliked about this game is that your wrestler with give up to any submission move once his health is zero. Overall this was a great purchase. I would recommend it to all 1985-1998 wrestling fans and specially to the new generati... Read more

Mon Sep 07 2009This game is good except for limited movement. You can't run freely and to grab weapons is more frustrating. If you are a WWE fan I would suggest you to rent this game before buying. Overall good.

Fri Jul 24 2009I have every Smackdown game going back to the original, and I have to say this game, despite the great graphics and sound, is simply the worst of them. First of all, let me point out that despite the import function for the Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 game, you will find that not all the wrestlers are imported, for example Paul London won't be imported. I tried importing more than once and never got all the wrestlers and the same ones were missing all the time. DLC can't be imported so don't expect any tag matches or matches between the Million dollar man and his son. The Button mashing, however, is what really ruins this game. Other Smackdown games had an intuitive system and remained fairly consistent over the years reaching, in my opinion, its apogee in the 2009 game. This game totally revamps the system, or rather, reverts it back to some of the earliest non-analog Smackdown games. This is just plain annoying. Not only do you have to relearn the system for this game, but als... Read more
