Thu Sep 10 2009This looks good on advertisements...however...LINE DOES NOT AUTO ADVANCE!!!!??? It trims alright, however the line is suppose to advance itself every time you turn it on. It never advances the full length to the cutter, it has to be pulled out by hand, nice idea, not made well enough. I really don't understand why the string trimmer line has been such a challenge for manufacturers. If you have 1/4 acre or smaller this is a nice tool for you, very easy to use and light weight. Otherwise buy a corded/gas trimmer or wait til they improve the existing model.Extra batteries are expensive to buy as backup. The line NOT advancing on its own makes me drop the rating to 3 stars vs 5 stars, the battery life I can deal with.

Thu Sep 10 2009Overall I am very pleased with this product. It does a great job edging along the driveway and sidewalks. Not so great on heavy grass or weeds, but i knew that going in. Based on the convenience of use and its low weight, I think it is a good value.

Wed Sep 09 2009I watched the commercials. I read the reviews. I decided to give it a try. As soon as I saw the diameter of the line, I figured I'd made a bad decision. I charged up the battery, and went right for what I figured would be the impossible (edging the driveway). It worked I was more than impressed. Then I went for trimming along the fence and the battery died. An interesting side note: When it dies, It drops dead. There's no gradual weakening. It runs till it quits. I've read since then that Lithium batteries are like that. There was no way I got 45 minutes, so even with the Lithium battery the amount of use time is not impressive. I'd love to see the football field that they went around twice. I'm pretty sure the unit wouldn't make it around a football field once, unless it had already been edged and they were just getting a few blades a different trimmer had missed. Now that I've used it a few times, my lawn is pretty much under control, and I take the trimmer out every third time I cu... Read more

Wed Sep 09 2009This is an outstanding product, and a great value. After using this weed eater/edger for a month, I can't wait to buy the next Worx Lithium powered product. The battery charges quickly, the Worx GT is very light weight, easily adjustable into many comfortable positions, easily converted into an edger, obviously of great quality, and surprisingly powerful. I can't say anything even remotely negative other than it would be nice if the battery lasted a little longer. Other than that, everything about this product is great. After using it for hours the first weekend I owned it, I thought I'd better go ahead and order some of the free string cartridges. That's another great feature in itself. I ordered 6 of the cartridges from Worx and paid only $6.11 for shipping and handling. I thought I needed them because each one has only 15 feet of line. However, I've used the Worx GT for hours now over the past month and I'm still only on my first cartridge. The line has edges on it and cut... Read more
