Tue Jun 08 2010I did not feel welcome in this office. Although the Doctor herself was nice, her assistant was dismissive and made me feel as though my visit was unnecessary and my presence there questionable. She kept asking me why I felt I needed an annual skin check! Here we are in Las Vegas, and she questioned my reasoning for needing one...! When I finally asked her why she was questioning me so much about it, she replied, "Because the insurance doesn't always pay for it." OMG. No, I didn't feel welcome at all. Called my insurance carrier, told them of her issue, and they informed me that they would rather me go for an annual visit and checkup than wait for a problem to occur. Amen to that! They also advised me to seek out a Doctor who welcomed preventative care. Yup!

Wed Jun 17 2009WHAT IS UP WITH THE DING BAT RECEPTIONIST? Looking for a new dermo now...so frustrating! So unprofessional, uninviting, put me on hold and hung up on me...rude!!

Mon Jun 08 2009My wife made one trip to this doctor. She was not happy with the service she received while there. Everyone is not going to be happy with his or her service, you can't make everyone like you. My problem is with their billing. We have been receiving bills monthly without fail since her appointment in September of 2007, almost two years ago. The bill states that we do not owe any monies, but it does show an account balance of $87.00 over 120 days late. We have called and they say no problem, they are billing the insurance, but it makes me wonder when they may stop trying the insurance company and just come after me and then tell me to get the reimbursement from the insurance company myself. Good Luck to each and all of you.

Mon Jan 19 2009After having horrible skin problems my entire life, I decided to take a chance on this dermatology office. I came to find out upon my arrival that they were extremely helpful, polite, and knowledgable. The wait for my appointment was a little long, but the front office staff was very apologetic and once I was seen by the physician's assistant, I felt much better about my decision. I would reccommend this office to anyone having to deal with long term skin problems. My face has cleared up a bit from my initial visit, and feels much better. I am looking forward to my appointment next month. Take care everyone!

Mon Jan 19 2009I am a patient of Woodson Dermatolgy for about 8 months now. I had a really bad acne and they took care of it and cleared me up. My face is now really clear and I have beautiful skin. During my appointment there was a bit of a wait, but what doctors office does't. The staff there is so are kind and feeled me in every 5 min. The front office staff always had a smile. The staff at Woodson Dermatology make you feel very welcome. The nures are very helpful and answer any question needed. I never have a problem with the billing department. I have an appointment next week and look forward to meeting the people on the cosmetic department.

Tue Jan 13 2009if you are looking for a dermatologist then woodson dermatology is the best one out here in vegas! ive seen just about every physician there. the doctors and p.a.'s are amazing. when other offices couldnt figure out what was going on with my skin i finally stumbled across this office and figured why not. needless to say i made the right choice in going there. i may have to wait a little bit to see the doctor but the wait is well worth it !! staff and doctors are great there and make you feel at home!!

Mon Oct 27 2008The billing department billed our insurance wrong over a year ago. I was told last year by the Office Manager Ms Brown, it would be corrected. WRONG. The billing office only excepts calls on Tues and Thrus from 8:30AM to 12 noon. Good luck waiting on line. Also Ms Brown will not take a phone call. Also Dr. Woodson will not return calls. I had a reaction from psosrasis shots and I called 3 times and no one would call me back. I went in and a nurse said they are booked so close together (per Dr Johnyy's instructions) they don't have time to return calls. We need to send a message and just stop going to him. I know I won't return. I have personally told him so and he just shrugged his sholders.

Wed Jun 18 2008This is my second BAD experience with the billing department. My husband and I went in for the same procedure in 2007. They tried to bill me for my procedure, and I finally got it figured out after much hassle between the billing company (Lab Medicine Consultants) and my insurance company. Now, 3 years later, they are trying to bill us for my husband's procedure! Again much going back and forth with them and my insurance to no avail. And now they have sent me to collections for a payment that is NOT my responsibility.

Thu May 15 2008I use to like it when they were smaller (when they were located on Sunset/Sunset Way). The service was better and the staff was nicer. Now that they've gotten big they lost the most important thing in any business - their Customer Service! The front office staff are not friendly and they don't make you feel welcome at all. My last straw was that I made an appointment and got there 15 minutes early only to be told that the doctor did not show up so they had to reschedule - thanks a lot for making me drive all the way over there only to be turned away! They said they called and left a message at least 5 times and I did not get 1 call from them. No effort was taken at all and if I'm sure there are about 2 other alternate numbers on my file that they could have tried - very unfriendly, unprofessional, and unsympathetic staff. I would not recommend them at all!!! I will be taking my business elsewhere...

Mon Mar 31 2008I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WOODSON DERMATOLOGY TO ANYONE. The doctor is nice and some of the staff, but not all of the staff. I had gone in the past and stopped going, then went back after a couple of years or so. MY APPT. WAS AT 10 AND I WAITED FOR ALMSOT AN HOUR TO SEE THE DOCTOR. I WAS LIVID. I WENT BACK TO THE FRONT DESK AND ASKED THE LADIES TWICE WHEN WILL I SEE THE DOCTOR. I DID NOT FEEL WELCOME OR AT PEACE WITH THEM. SINCE I HAD NOT BEEN THERE IN A WHILE I HAD TO FILL OUT NEW PATIENT INFORMATION AGAIN, WHICH WAS FINE, BUT PEOPLE CAME IN AFTER ME AND WENT TO SE THE DOCTOR BEFORE ME. WAITING FOR ALMOST AN HOUR AND THEN SITTING WITH THE DOCTOR FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE. DO NOT GO THERE.

Mon Mar 10 2008I don't know about the previous reviews but I myself have been to see Bess Paragas twice and found her to be very knowledgeable, sincere, sweet and kind!!! I have never had to wait in the waiting room, the nurse is also very nice...I am a cash patient but when I went in recently they had me fill out a new form for their new billing so maybe that problem has been solved? I would thoroughly recommend people to come here with their skin concerns. The entire visit and the previous were both positive and I felt like they really cared about me:)

Sun Feb 10 2008I stopped going to this dermatologist, not because of Dr. Woodson, but his extremely rude staff. Twice I left that office in tears, because the staff was so rude, especially there is one Samoan med. assistant, just very rude, she made me feel that I was not worthy of being there. I was unemployed at the time and I went in to get a refill and checkup for my melasma. I told her I did not have insurance anymore, she very loudly and rudely replied, well then you have to pay cash right now!! I was very embarassed and of course I paid it. Then as I was waited to be called, this med. assistant was giving me dirty looks. When I went in to see the Dr. I complained. But nothing was ever done. As I was leaving, this asstnt. asked me very sarcastically if I was coming back for another appointment, I said NO!!! I do not recomend this office.

Thu Jan 03 2008Spent excessive time in waiting room (1+ hour). Horrible billing - it's been over six months and I'm still trying to resolve the claims submitted to my insurance company. I definitely would not recommend anyone to this dermatologist!

Sun Dec 16 2007I've consistently gotten terrible service at Woodson Dermatology. Today was the last straw and I finally just walked out after sitting and waiting for a doctor who never came. I keep telling myself thank goodness I only have acne and nothing serious wrong with me, because this office bungles EVERY SINGLE TIME! I've been on Accutane for three months. I hold up my end of the deal by getting pregnancy tests, etc. in a timely fashion. But every time I go in to pick up my prescription, it seems like they're not ready for me. They're terribly disorganized, unprepared, and incompetent. Every time I go it's an utter mess and just makes we want to scream. I would rather spare myself that misery even if it means my acne might come back while I go looking for a better dermatologist. Save yourself the trouble and don't go here! (By the way, I go to the office on Tenaya. I don't know about the other offices.)

Sun Jul 01 2007I went to Woodson Dermatology today and had such a wonderful experience. The Staff was quite pleasant and accomodating. Dr. Johnnie Woodson had spent adequate time regarding my skin and his back office medical assistants were very helpful. I would definetly recommend this office to the public!

Sun Jul 01 2007i have been a patient of linda rank's ( p.a.) for a couple of years now and i have never had a problem with any of the girls at the tenaya office. Linda Rank by far is one of the best dermatologist i have seen . the girls have always been so polite and kind to me. every time i enter that office i am treated like a star. as expected with any medical office i do have to wait from time to time. however the quality of the providers and staff at that office is well worth the wait. it is hard to get through their phones sometimes but they are a very busy office and i know the girl that answers phones does her best to expedite the calls as best she can. thank you to all the staff at woodson dermatology for treating me with such respect. i will recommend this office to all of my friends and refer my patients to your office as well. keep up the good work

Mon Jun 25 2007Woodson Dermatology is not a place I would refer anyone. Making an appointment was very hard. It took three attempts to actually reach a live person to make an appointment. Billing was absolutely incompetent. The person was rude referring to the insurance company as liars twice. Getting issues resolved was a night mare. They do not answer phones in a timely basis. Woodson Dermatology has one of the worst office staffs in the valley.
