We are very pleased with the work. It started as a replacement for a cheap porch blown away by Ike. The final product was so beautiful it inspired a sort of "East Texas" re-landscaping project. We also got a very energy efficient roof in the process. After finding out that the kitchen gets very HOT in the summer when one does energy efficiency improvements we also decided to build an outdoor kitchen. Not only is it good for entertaining, and not only does the food taste better, but it is also saving us about $1 every time we use it in AC costs! Great job!. Especially kudos to Brian on the final work on the room addition. An energy audit conducted soon after he finished the work revealed no problems with the add-on (there were some caught around the house)

After having five different contractors tell me that I could not build the patio I wanted because of the existing roofline of my home, I decided to give Wood-Crafters a try. Tom Nolen came to my house and immediately recommended a patio like the one I imagined without being prompted. The end product was even better than I imagined. I would like to thank Tom Nolen of Wood-Crafters who met with me and the landscaper to work out a beautiful patio garden. My area was very small and with the ideas and samples Tom brought to my home, I was able to match brick and pavers very well. Tom worked within my budget and gave alternatives to help with costs so that I was able to have the retreat I was looking for. Wood Crafters just finished a covered patio for us and I couldn't be more pleased with the result. Tom (sales) is friendly and professional. His estimate numbers were right on. No surprises and no extra charges halfway through the job. It was a pleasure working with Scott (design, planning, etc). If I ever went into business as a contractor or builder I would want this guy heading up my team. He worked up a design with me, made logical and cost effective suggestions and, on top of all that, did all the leg work to get the project approved by the homeowners association! Mark is the brawn and brains behind the actual construction. Obviously a craftsman of great talent and experience, he's another I would add to a "dream team". You know you have a winner when the city inspector comes out, spends a full 30 minutes inspecting the structural integrity of the build and remarks that "whoever is building this really knows what he's doing". Wood Crafters built a roof addition and fixed my fence after Hurricane Ike. The office, design, and construction staff were all polite and worked with me to help the project go smoothly. They gave me a blueprint and it helped me to understand what the roof was going to look like. I have seen what others have done to the same floor plan that I have, and they don't look half as good as the one on my home. I would and have recommend them to my friends and family.

My wife and I recently had a covered patio and outdoor kitchen built by Wood Crafters and have already referred friends and neighbors who have been so complimentry. From the initial design to the finished patio, we couldn't be happier. We never imagined how much time we would be spending outdoors, but with the unique design and features Wood Crafters incorporated we now have an outdoor living room and wouldn't change a thing.

This company has terrible customer service. Tom is unreliable, rude, and does not care about the value of his customer's time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS COMPANY. There are many good and reputable businesses in town that provide the same type of services as this company AND respect and value their customers. Wood Crafters and Tom should be avoided.
