The Frank Miller-pencilled limited series is an excellent read and an essential addition to anyone's (and everyone's) graphic novel/comic collection

A Wolverine is a member of that gaggle of mopes fighting the Russians and Cubans in Red Dawn. O.k., I guess.

In an effort to become even more like his namesake animal, Wolverine had pungent anal scent glands installed. That pretty much finished off any chance that he'd ever get laid by a human female again.

Tragic story of "once a character gets popular, he becomes boring". Wolverine was a clawed, funny talking murderer that no one knew anything about until EVERYONE started liking him better than Spider-man. Every book featured 'Guest star' Wolverine to boost sales, so it seemed that his real power was that he could be everywhere at once. Then he survived getting hit by a train, the blast at Hiroshima, getting his skeleton ripped out, getting burned down to just a skeleton and a horrible movie about his secret origin. Nothing can stop Wolverine! See what I mean by 'boring'?

He's pretty bad ass! the healing factor is what makes him remarkable. The claws....it's cool, but not a terribly tough offensive power. And the fact that his whole skelatal structure is made up of Anamantium makes for a HUGE weakness. Just get a super magnet and he's F'ed.

He's the mutant's answer to Batman--mysterious, strong but vulnerable. The attitude makes him a fan favorite.

I love superheroes(not all of them) The story behind Woverine is an intriguing one. Sure he has an attitude, and as others have said he is a bad ass, but that's what makes him so cool. Wolverine would do anything to protect the ones he cares about.

The original comic book bad ass. His origin story is cool too. Sorry if he's a little too angry and rebellious for some of you kids. Complete obedience doesn't qualify anyone to be a hero.

Too full of angst and anger and too rebellious to be a good superhero. The original five X-Men (Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Marvel Girl, Iceman) were, and still are, the best.

Wolverine is really the anti-hero because he obviously doesn't want the role of hero and yet he's honorable enough to fulfill it anyway. He's bad-tempered and sarcastic and yet very well-loved.

Those claws are the all time coolest weapon any superhero ever had, but his costume was super gaudy and lame. Also, what's with the superfluous eyebrows that come sticking out of his mask?

Alright, I had to change my post because, after a lot of thinking, he's not my favorite of the X-Men, but a close second. I don't think he's got that many superhuman abilities: His only real "power" is his healing ability, the rest is manmade (the adamantium skeleton). I'd have to say he's the highlight of the X-Men movies, too.

Yellow doesn't look good on a male superhero. That's why I prefer the movie version of Wolverine to the comic book. Still, it must be neat to be able to flick those claws out of your knuckles any time you feel like it.

In the recent Wolverine issues, he loses his healing factor. But it not stop him from rescuing his foster daughter and fighting Lady D/Omega. Thats what I like about him. Even he is sick, Logan is always there for his family.

He was okay, but it seems to me like he was just a big hairy guy...frightning, just not the way a super-hero should be!

He's a dude with claws coming out of his hands, an unbreakeable skeleton, a healing factor, and an attitude problem. What more could you ask for? Oh, yeah, he's Canadian, too.
