Sat Apr 10 2010I ditched Wildblue for Verizon Wireless. I had no idea it would work for me clear out here in the middle of nowhere, or that it was even available You get this little WiFi adapter that sticks into your usb port and presto, you can connect anywhere you are. ANYWHERE! I was worried because the max usage for Verizon was less than Wildblue's, and I had used "too much" bandwidth several times according to WB and they shut me off for the month. Huge PIA since I use the internet from home for work. I was afraid that would be a problem. But guess what? Wildblue's tally of bandwidth usage HAS to be a scam because not only do I have PLENTY available with my Verizon wifi, but I actually take it to work now to use there for my interenet as well. I have NEVER gone over the limit with Verizon using it all day at BOTH locations as I did several times with Wildblue and only used it at home. scam The price is about the same for both services, but I'm actually saving money because I no lon... Wed Mar 24 2010Wildblue would be A fantastic internet service provider if only their advertisements were true. Sadly, they are not at all true and if you use them, you will regret wasting your money and your time. We had Wildblue for over 2 years & I could not get or send emails or upload pictures without serious & very frustrating problems. We had to ask our friends and relatives to stop sending us picture attachments because we seldom were able to open them. The pictures always caused our Wildblue Dishmail email to give us fault and failure messages that an "oops" had occurred and we needed to try again later. Too many times we got to our Dishmail login page and never saw the field appear to be able to enter our username and password. Many many times after we were in our email page, we were greeted with the message that they had detected we were using a very slow connection and advised us to use only plain text mode to open our emails. When we contacted Wildblue about these messages they were... Read more

Sun Mar 21 2010BEWARE OF WILDBLUE I just dumped wildcrap & added a 2nd phone line so I could use my dialup which I could never drop while suffering 2 years of the worst service one could ever have. wildcrap coud not ever provide me with equipment which worked and never honored their so called 90 day warranty. The equipment they installed was bad and did not work, so the installer left with my money and we never heard from him again. We were never able to contact him either because he gave us a fake phone number which connected us to a local shop which did laundry. My neighbors just got hughesnet and let me connect to their wi-fi so I could use the internet while my wife was on our dialup, and I was amazed at how fast hughesnet is. My dialup is faster than wildcrap and hughesnet is faster than wildcrap ever was for me. I would be on hughesnet now if I had not have been scammed by the wildcrap fake internet service. I do not intend to ever be suckered into another 2 year lock in contract like I ... Read more

Mon Mar 09 2009These guys SUCK. If you can get cell phone service you can get good Internet service too. There are many out there like Verizon or AT@T. They are cheaper and better. Wild Blue doesn't tell you that it isn't unlimited use. Once you exceed your download and up load limit you got squat. The installers never even showed up to install my dish and I was waiting all day long. They didn't call they didn't show so I sent the whole damn box of parts back to them. My best friend is the one that told me about them to begin with and she had nothing but problems with her dish. Her kid now uses it in the winter time for sledding and it doesn't even work right for that. If it rains either at your location or on Wild Blues end you got nothing. Heavy over cast you got nothing. Very unreliable.

Sat Feb 09 2008While looking for the address to complain to the ceo of wildblue i came across this site, like your other readers our internet is useless also, down most of the time, slow, frustrating and costly considering how much time you can get online, the service stinks, you are passed from pillar to post trying to get help, considering how much they charge for a second rate sevice they should be able to afford another sattelite soon and when they do i hope i can load all the equipment on it and send it as far away as possible, my contract is up in a few months,, anyone want to buy new sattelite equipment pristine condition hardly used,,,,,, ps,, if you get this note it was pure luck!!!!!!

Mon Nov 05 2007I could not wait till this spring when Wildblue started to take orders in our area. Like many others that look to satellite internet I live in an area with no option other than dialup. I knew before the install about the high latency and slow DL speeds but it had to be better that dialup. I had researched WildBlue and read all the reviews on this site regarding this service. Many of the reviews where bad but I was sure I would have better luck and signed up. Installation took some time, first they said that there was an equipment shortage that would cause a 6 week delay then the day before the install I received a call telling me the installer in my area quit and they would have to reschedule. When the new installer finally did arrive he informed me that because of trees he would have to install a pole (an extra cost of $175) I did not mind this and had even expected it but he insisted in planting the post in the middle of the yard rather that next to my existing TV dish he also inform...
