White Russian

This is a drink for those who like exceptionally sweet drinks. It's Vodka, coffee liquer and milk, that's all it is. I never really paid attention to what proportions the servers used for it, and have since moved to other 'favorites'. But if you like sweet drinks OR coffee this is perfect. Only thing is, I tried one the other day and I was like "wow how could I have ever liked anything that syrupy". But that isn't always the norm.

Three stars for its iconic role in "The Big Lebowski," but it's actually a pretty shitty drink. Especially if you make it with coffee creamer.

It's a great way to ruin a good shot of Vodka if you ask me. Not quite as bad as a Duck Fart, but really close.

I like the Black Russian equally. I'm not in the mood for any arguments today.

I like coffee so I'll drink these on occasion. 2 oz Vodka 1 oz Coffee liqueur Light cream Pour Vodka and Coffee liqueur over ice cubes in an old-fashioned glass. Fill with light Cream and enjoy it my Friend, because your Girlfriend certainly will.

It's like a starbucks frappuccino was gangbanged by a bottle of cheap vodka. No wonder chicks like it so much.

I was once at a bar and a guy bought me a White Russian. I told him he was nuts and I was not drinking lactose and vodka! Something about this is so very wrong to me. I don't know what it is, but this is nasty! EWWWW!!!!!!

If the Dude's drinkin it, so am I! Ok, maybe not because of him, but the Lore of the Dude certainly added to the mystic of the White Russian. Who hasnt at least tried one? Admit it, they are delicious! It cries out, "Drink Me!"

While tasty, I know I certainly couldn't consume this as my drink-of-choice like the Dude in "The Big Lebowski." You have to have a taste for coffee in order to like it. It really does not taste strongly of alcohol. If you have it with cream, obviously it is a bit thicker than having it with milk.

Milk and vodka. Nasty!! Just plain gross!!!!!!!!

I love it except for the calories. Actually, the caffeine and alcohol combination always gives me a headache. I don't get it? What's the point? I have to drink at least 3 to get tipsy. I'd rather have a frappacino at Starbucks any day.

From a purely aesthetic standpoint they are a bit like a vanilla ice cream cone, kind of bland.  However if you are buying drinks for a date, only order these if you want to end the evening with a horney intoxicated woman on your hands.

Very tasty. One of those drinks not every bar makes but it's very good. But I like any drink that has coffee flavor and alcohol.

Great drink, dangerous in large quantities.  Best for an after dinner drink or for sipping.  I like to use half and half instead of cream.  A bit easier to drink than the Black Russian - the cream mellows it out a bit, but I enjoy both.

The White Russian has been making a comeback with the popularization of various specialty liqueurs and vodkas. Godiva is often the brand of choice around here for the White Russian. Tastes super yummy as well. Great for desert for those that prefer to not eat their calories but instead to drink them.

I make mine with half and half, it's a happy medium between milk and cream. I could probably drink these all night, nice strong drink that tastes great.

Not when drinking a lot, it's too sweet and too much cream.

The Dude definitely made this smooth drink fashionable, but too much dairy on a big night out is usually a bad idea.

We drank a lot of these for a while during my undergrad days. They're good, but I haven't had one in quite a while.

They aren't too bad...back in my wilder days I drank Colorado Bulldogs...think Black russian with tequila. (there is that darn tequila again)

I love the taste  but it is a bit too sweet for me I could never just spend the whole night drinking these,it's a great drink to start the evening off with

I used to hate these things until I saw Big Lebowski.  Then, I went through about a month long kick that I was drinking them in place of beer.  I guess I'm a slave to pop culture.

I tried one of these for the first time the other day. It was actually pretty good. And it has milk in it--mmmmmm! I love milk!

A tasty combination,but too rich to have more than one or two.When I do,it's a toast to "the Dude"!!!

I love to have one of these after dinner. . .but I feel like I should wear a robe and grow my hair like Jeff Bridges. . .

My preferance. I like the coffee undertone and milky, smooth texture. It's very pleasant.

The drink of choice of The Dude.

This is "The Dude's" drink from the movie The Big Lebowski, after watching it I decidied to try and and it became my favorite mixed drink. It's tastes just like chocolate milk with kick, good for sipping.

A superb drink. It has a great Ice Cream taste to it. You do not need more than 3.

A terrrific drink. It has a distinctive milky bite that tastes excellent.

Since I saw the Dude in The Bid Lebowski slurping these down, I gave them a try and they aren't bad! Good line from the flick, when the goons drag the dude into the limo while his holding his WR, Hey, we have a beverage here!

This is a bit of a chick drink, but if it is mixed to strong... you get PROJECTILE WHITE VOMIT... which I suppose has its uses...

One of my favorite mixers and a sweet drink that a guy can drink in a bar without lookin fruity. The milk kinda kills the cheap vodka taste(if ur getting well vodka) where the black russian will allow the cheap vodka to kill the drink. Fell down the stairs once after a night of drinkin too many of these at a party, they come up and bite ya.

The White russian drink is a splendid vodka based coffe tasting drink with milk

The rusky. Who would have thought that a drink with milk would be so good. Getting a little drunker might involve making a black russian, just kaluha and vodka.
