No offense to anyone, but in my opinion it doesn't do the old episodes justice, whether or not they are voiced by the same people, it's a lame show.

Ahem, mtbmlb, but the fact is that Casey KasEm is still playing Shaggy. We loyal Scooby fans see the new ones as somewhat better depending if you are staying true to old school, but we are living at a time when things have to change, and this show is a great example to see something that is in modern times and something that children past the Baby Boomers would enjoy. I admit, this show is quite awesome as you have to pay much more attention on how to solve their mysteries, otherwise you WILL be a bit confused.

Skwidney is right on this one. Cut the crap with the movies and all the other shows. It's WAY too confusing. The only episodes worth watching were back in the day when Casey Kasum played Shaggy.

This is the BEST and my FAVORITE Scooby Doo series so far, the animation is GREAT, the characters have more personality, and even though it's more modern they still have fake monsters with some one behind the mask, personally I like that formula. I never liked some of the movies that have tried to change that formula *cough* Zombie Island *cough*. And better yet NO SCRAPPY-DOO! I really hope this series does good it's enterntaining, funny, and leaves you wanting to watch it over and over again, you have got to watch this show you will not be dissapointed!!!

All I can say is you can never replace Scooby Doo, Where are You? This show is just too out there compared to the old ones. It just doesn't fit in. And nobody can do Scooby's voice like the original.

They are just trying to milk every last drop out of the stupid franchise known as Scooby-Doo. I think Ill' go have an aneurysm now. That sounds like fun.

With the return of Frank Welker as Fred, this Scooby-Doo series easily recreates the original (minus the laugh track, sadly). The formula is still there, thankfully, with all the "monsters" being criminal punks in masks. The animation quality has been bumped up significantly. The show even pokes fun at the Scooby-Doo formula by mixing up the split-ups and so on. The voice acting, all around, is top-notch.

Everything is great. I have loved scooby doo all through my life. The what's new scooby doo programmes are much better and are up to date. They still have the same characters with the same personalities and best of all... NO SCRAPPY DOO!!!

Why didn't they use Scott Innes? Frank Welker sounds like he's talking into a styrofoam cup and Casey sounds tired. I doubt that even Innes could have saved this turkey with his energetic renditions of Scooby and Shaggy.

Its the show we all remember w/a modern day update. The characters are still intact and story lines go beyond the formulaic plots of the original series. Scooby truly transcends time and the generational gap, and will continue to do so.

Despire the presence of fun voices such as Mindy Cohn's, the show doesn't contain the essence that the original had, and just doesn't seem right in this time and age.

After being locked in the 70's for over 30 years, Scooby and the gang have finally made it into the modern age. This updated version of the show features the same characters and story lines as the orignla series, but with a modern update. All the kids carry cel phones and Vel is the information tech whiz. The plot lines are much more complex than the original show (although there were 1 or 2 'duds,)but overall, it is a great update to a classic show. Those naysayers claim that the formula is somewhat dated and does not work in the modern era, but this is a quibble compared to the other great qualities of the show. How many other shows promote academic and critical thinking skills while at the same time being entertaining to all generations? Not very many. Certainly, I'll admit the show is experiencing "growing pains," but this does not detract from the overall impression. They said the same thing about the original Scooby series when it premiered thirty three years ag. TO the... Read more

I LOVED 'What's New, Scooby Doo!' It is without a doubt the BEST overall Scooby I have ever seen!! The charatcters are much better, the plots are better, and the theme song is one of the best! I think Mindy Cohn is doing a GRWAT job and I hope with all my heart she continues to be Velma. Grey Delisle rocks as Daphne and Frank Welker is a funny Freddy. (Never thought I would be able to say 'funny' and 'Freddie' in the same sentence) He also does a marvelous Scooby and Don Messick would be very proud of him.Casey Cesam, PLEASE don't ever drop out again!! The show is fantastic and if the rumers I've heared are true and it's been renewed, it's excellent!!
