I used to not like Whataburger,  but after stopping at one on the way home, all of the sudden I been hooked!  Their burgers are made after you order them, taste fresh, juicy, and are much larger then other burger places.  Now its one of my fav burger places.  Go figure lol.  GREAT chocolate shakes too!!

Whataburger has far has the best fast food burgers.  They are big, freshly prepared, and they make them exactly how you would like them.  I have also noticed that the service at Whataburger is a step above nearly every other fast food burger joint.  I don't know if this is just the few I go to or if others have noticed the same thing.

They are usually kind of slow. The food is a little more expensive. They are always very friendly. So it's a wash!! OK

Kinda reminds me of a diner burger. Has an old fashiond taste, love it.  I dont know how these people can compare it at ALL to Mcyak and Boogerking.  MUCH better quality and taste.  Fries are not bad at all. what do you expect from fast food??

The milkshakes used to be awesome, now their very icey.  Burgers are the same low quality meat patties used by them, Wendys, Sonic, and McDonalds (those of you who have had the Hardee's thickburgers know eaxactly what Im talking about!), Breakfast now is better than their dinner menu, as their burgers arent quite as good as they used to be.

Without a doubt it is my favorite fast-food burger. Yeah you have to wait a few minutes...but that's because they don't make your burger until you order it. That's the way I like it, not sitting under a heat lamp for several hours before I get it. Fresh ingredients make a huge difference too. You get a lot of burger for your money too...it makes a Big Mac look like one of those little Castle burgers. They do a great job!

OMG, we LOVE Whataburger! When my hubby went back home for a visit (Canada) he would call me and tell me that he was having cravings for Whataburger, lol. And I swear, they have the BEST tasting Ketchup! It's weird! Maybe because it's "FANCY" Ketchup (LOLOL). A Texas favorite!

Whataburger is a Texas icon, and we take as much pride in it, as the Mid-States do in White Castle. Unlike your traditional burger shacks, such as McDonald's, there is no 'heat lamp' warming pre-made burgers, that were sitting out for God knows how long. Each order is a 'custom order', and is created from the ground-up, using fresh patties (no frozen pre-formed burgers found here, folks) Sure it may take a big longer, than oh... say ordering a Bic Mac, but if you're going to do something you may as well take the time to do it right!

Based on the Jasper, Cleveland, & a few Houston area stores, we can't beat Whataburger.  Jasper loc. is the newest.  It's bright & clean.  Good service & food. The Cleveland loc. has improved tremendously with its service, & food is hot & fresh... but please put a few new booths in!  There is a torn seat that has been there for years-- c'mon, y'all can afford a new seat!  with all the other improvements at the store, that kinda grinds my gears.I'll choose Whataburger over whoppers & big macs anyday.  Sure they haven't got a value menu, but the fry boxes are filled, and the burgers are meatier and tastier.

Outstanding architectural signature. Any restaurant starting in an A-frame in Corpus Christi gets my support. Food is fair - but the ketchup is exceptional (no kidding)! Really, there are days I decide to go there for lunch simply because of the ketchup!

#149 (West Commerce) in San Antonio, TX. I asked for water with my food and I was given a paper cone. I asked if they had a cup with a flat bottom so I could lay on the table and the person said said he would have to charge me for it. I will not go back to that one.

Whataburger is very popular in south Texas. I just can't seem to figure out why. The food, even when it's fixed fresh, is not all that great. The beef patty looks and tastes like something that came out of a corporate container. The fries are also of poor quality. Despite the lackluster flavor and appearance of the food, Whataburger insists on charging higher prices for their food than a number of other fast food restaurants. I've tried to like Whataburger, really I have. I just can't stomach it. Probably the worst fast food restaurant chain (other than Jack in the Box) I've ever seen.

Whataburger Rules. I used to live in Dallas/Ft.Worth, Texas. I now live in Omaha, Nebraska with no Whataburger and it really bites. Hot fresh food made to order and you know it is because you have to wait for it. All their products have a distinct flavor that sets them apart from the offerings of other chains. Their ketchup must have been formulated by God, I actually have my brother, who still lives there, send me a supply once in a while. Hey, it's not a French gourmet meal or anything but, it is superior compared to other quick-service offerings.

One of those that you sometimes crave, and only IT will do. If you are not a mustard fan order with mayo (they call it salad dressing in most stores) Onion rings are good. For several years we had no Whataburger in Jax Fl. Glad to have them back. My closest store has good service also. We are waiting for "Five Guys" to open. That should,We hear, give us as taste of the best burger. It rivals "In n out" they say.

Excellent service and excellent food! A really big burger with whatever you want on it. They have a tendency to get a little carried away with the mustard but if you don't like that just tell them no mustard. They even walk around with the tray and ask if you need napkins or ketchup or anything.

If their hamburger meat was twice the thickness that it is now, it would be perfect. I like the their burgers, excect you do get too much bread. Its almost at the point of bun over kill. Other than that there O.K.

The narrator for the Whataburger commericials is exactly like these burgers, boring and plain dudes. These burgers are expensive too, $2.50 for 1 freaking burger!! It's not terrible, but they're never getting any money from me again dudes.

Rating Update 2/15/06: 2 star rating drop. At a good store, your burger will be "Stacked and Packed!" Whataburger, as it is when you happen upon a store with caring employees, is the best of the best of "fast food" burgers, at any price. Like any fast food burger joint, the beef is feedlot grainfed and tasteless [thankfully], but Whataburger can cover that up like nobody else can :-) #They used to grill the buns on both sides, but now use a toaster [one side] which destroys the original flavor! #They have also become extremely inconsistent depending on which store you visit. When Whataburger is good, it is the best, which, unfortunately does not happen much anymore at all. Your best bet is a rural store on the highway or a small town. #Scant veges on burgers. You'd think there was rationing in effect on pickles, lettuce, tomato and onion. This has happened in recent years and is worse in metro areas. The location in Grand Prairie Tx near the airport is one of the worst.

Stay away from the store in Cleveland, TX. The burgers are dry, the buns are usually stale and the mayo doesn't taste right. The employees are rude. It is a franchise, not a company store. Corporate needs to step in and fix the problems. Most of the other food is terrible. I will not be going again, ever.

There are a few things on their menu that I love and quite a few more that I hate but I stay away from those so I can't complain! I love their big drinks but don't make the mistake of getting a Large strawberry shake. I do like being able to get breakfast between 11pm and 11am. They only have one board with those times posted so you're never confused on when they stop serving breakfast!

THIS PLACE SHOULD BE RENAMED "WHATABADBURGER". THEY SERVE A THIN, DRY, HAMBURGER WITH TOO MUCH BUN. THE FRIES ARE VERY GENERIC. QUITE FRANKLY, A 1/4 POUNDER FROM THE GOLDEN ARCHES IS BETTER, AND THE FRIES ARE MUCH BETTER. FOR THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY, STEAK AND SHAKE, OR EVEN MICKEY D'S IS BETTER.

I eat and work for Whataburger. My opinion is not based due to the fact that I work for the company, but it is based on overall experience of knowing I am getting a hot, fresh, and keep in mind, made to order meal served to me. The burgers are bigger, along with the sides, at a good price. Compared to McDonalds, whose beef is not AMERICAN, micro-sized, and dry along with a costly price, Whataburger surpasses them and others.

(I'm rating the restaurant solely on my experiences at the Gainesville, FL location, since I've never been to any other one; never heard of 'em in Baltimore, MD) The food is nothing special (less greasy than, say, McDonald's, but hey, that's not that great of a feat), but what stands out is the service: the only other place I've had a person bring my fast food to the table was when I was in Spain. And they're so polite (then again, the folks around these parts, in my eyes, are all unusually polite, so I'm not sure if it's a matter of the restaurant or the area). Definately gets a plus for their onion rings (which actually contains recognizable rings of onion in the center, unlike Burger King's, where it's pretty much just remotely onion-flavored breading). Nothing to go out of your way for, but it's still better than most of its competitors.

This is another place that there is no shortage of in my general area. The one in Gainesville, Texas rules. The food is always fresh, and the service is always very good. Their breakfast items are all great, and for someone on my schedule it's nice to have them start serving their breakfast at 11pm. On the other hand, the other Whataburgers in the area range from average to poor, mostly because the service at them is deplorable. I'll keep it at a four just because I like the one in Gainesville so much.

Awesome place ! Whataburger uses fresh ingredients and has larger-than-average serving. I swear I had the largest fast food hamburger at Whataburger's - a triple meat and cheese burger. It was nearly as big as my hand when I open it up and extend my fingers. The BBQ sauce is great and I even got little candies for one meal in Texas. I love Whataburger!

Whataburger's new spicy jack chicken sandwich is awful. The chicken is chewy and tasteless and the toppings are dismal. I still think they make the best burgers in the business however, hence the four star rating.

Not many people know that the first thing many, many people returning from Iraq wanted, was to find a Whataburger! Most of the stores are great! Nothing better than a good, hot, tasty burger and really hot fries!
