I like all music from country to gangsta rap. I don't think there is a such thing as a bad genre because all genres have some songs that i can relate to.

All kinds of music. We have a CD player that holds every kind of music. I like songs from the 60s, and the 70s when i was growing up. I love big band music and some of those beautiful standards. I like to listen to classical on occasion, we have a bunch of country cds. I even love listening to broadway musical stuff. Motown is great. There is so much talent out there I would hate to limit myself to only one kind of music.

I enjoy jazz mixed with a bit of rhythm and blues. I like the sounds of Harry Connick, Jr., Nina Simone and Norah Jones. I also like to listen to some of the New Age music, such as Enya and the group Clannad, depending on my mood.

I must say, my musical tastes have evolved in the 18 months since I was last asked this question. Since then, I've discovered modern bubblegum pop to a highly enjoyable genre--with artists such as Hilary Duff and Myra and groups like S Club 7, Hope 7, Atomic Kitten, and the Spice Girls all being throughly enjoyable. Even more, I've developed a taste for 80s pop, including Belinda Carlisle and Pat Benetar. Of course, I still enjoy 60s and 70s oldies, such as Beach Boys, Three Dog Night, and Assocation. And, of course, I also enjoy songs from cartoons (like Animaniacs and Spongebob Squarepants) and video games (the Sonic series, especially) in addition to the NBC Symphonic Olympic theme. In a more general sense, I prefer my music to be clean, good-natured, upbeat, and optimistic.

Depends on what Im doing. Working out normally rock like ACDC or Guns and Roses. Reading classical normally Mozart or Beethoven. Driving in the car light adult contemporary like Diana Ross, Barry White or Barry Manilow- sometimes even disco stuff like Donna Summer. At a dance club Id say remixes of anything by Rayna or Deborah Cox.

Also a pretty big fan of folk, classical, and Jazz.

My music collection is quite extensive, to say the least. I don't like rap, but there isn't much else I don't listen to. I have everything from Frank Sinatra to Cold to Bruce Springsteen to Faith Hill. Mostly, I have soundtracks to films, both classical and otherwise. My favorites are Saving Private Ryan by John Williams, Band of Brothers by Michael Kamen and Return of the King by Howard Shore.

I gravitate to rock, blues and ,funk but being a musician myself I see different syles all offer something to learn from. Im not fond of country music but the the country song writers many times have a real talent for lyrics! I dont care for jazz but for an open jam and show of pure improvistional talent, you cant beat it. I will always be partial to the ' hall of famers'. The beatles, Hendrix, Bob Seger, Bad Company, while my childhood influences were R&B; and folk greats like Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, James Taylor and Carole King. What I enjoy the most is to watch any musician that has that thing. Real natural talent, someone who lets you know the first tune they do no matter what, that he was born with a gift.

I'm pretty open on music. The only music that I refuse to tolerate is rap. I'm mainly a country guy, but I also enjoy some oldies and most classic rock. It really depends on the song, not the genre, as there happen to be a few rap/hip hop songs that I can tolerate.

My tastes range from Ancient Chinese Classical to Death Metal to Japanese Electro-Jazz to East European esoteric/experimental to many many more obscure categories. To me it's all about the music, not the genre or the band.

Extreme metal (black, death, noise, hardcore), prog-rock, jazz-rock, jazz, heavy classic rock, roots, alt-country, bluegrass, classical (but nothing Baroque). Pretty much anything sincere.

Eh, I'm pretty open about music. I mostly stick to rock and what may be considered rap metal (Linkin Park), and a bit of country (though lately it all sounds like the same old lame whiny crap about sensitive cowboys and whatever; whatever happened to having FUN??). I can do a little bit of classical, and in my weaker, sappier moments I'll listen to various popular love songs ( . . . yeah, whatever). It's more about the individual song than the genre of music.

Unpopular music. My favorite categories of music are not even on the official Types of Music list, and I perversely refuse to name them. I just assume no one else will understand.

I like to listen to all kinds of music. I love the blues, jazz, oldies, doo-wop and the old r&b; and soul music . The rest depends on the song, the singer and how it's being played. I like some current pop, current and classic country, rap and hip hop, classical, showtunes, swing, bluegrass, folk and hardrock.

I tend to be eclectic in many ways but especially when it comes to music. My collection includes a little of just about everything. I also have a thing for movie sound tracks and one of my favorites is the beautiful music from Braveheart.
