I can get into a metaphysical and teleological argument, but that wouldn't be useful here. It's simple really: my view is that this is a learning experience--and the lesson is "to love our neighbors as ourselves". All else should flow from that one central premise.

Once the basic necessities of life are provided for you find a brand of comfortable trousers that look good on you. Occasionally you should have a meal that might not be good for you but is your favourite food. Be sure to make time to relax and enjoy the company of people of your choosing with no assholes around. One day you'll die. That's it.

The meaning of life is to find something you're good at and lose to me at it.

I can tell you this, that as long as we live on this earth, there are going to be good things that happen to us and bad things, a lot of which we don't have any control over at all, and in many cases the answer will remain a mystery. But then there is the part that we can control, and that's how we deal with it. Life is what you make it.

Meaning, by its very nature, implies a metaphysical and teleological structure that goes beyond mere matter. Philosophically speaking, life is completely meaningless. Hope that answered your question.

Life is God's greatest gift, but some folks don't appreciate it and demand more.

There are a few enduring answered questions that should make this list.  Like: "If black boxes in the cockpits of jet airliners are indestructible, why aren't the entire airliners made of the same material?"  Or, "If it takes two weeks to walk one week, how many apples are there in a barrel of grapes?"  Or, "If Jesus was Jewish, how come he has a Puerto Rican name?"  Or, "What can't be seen, doesn't weigh an ounce, but has plenty of power to move you far away?"  Or, "Is the back section of telephone books in China called 'The White Pages?'"  Or, "What's the difference between toilet paper and a shower curtain?"

On the grand scheme of the universe, the meaning of our life is.. to live out a life of a bacteria.

To evolve. The universe is god's fetus. Nature cares only that you reproduce or advance technology, not whether you're happy.

To the unbeliever there is no meaning. Just live, eat, drink and be merry. To Christians is the first step into eternity. Nothing exists by chance, everything has a cause and a purpose. Especially life.

You can ponder this all your life and never come up with an answer, but my answer today is this; To me its really the idea that you must pass on your legacy to those you love and while your living ask those people to carry it on and try to improve on it. I think this is best done by having children and giving them a strong loving upbringing. The only thing that makes us truly immortal is our children. Not to say that you cannot pass on your views to others but it is done in the purest sence by doing it through your offspring. Without children your life and your bloodline ends. If we all were to pass on a loving way of thinking to our kids they will inevitably do the same to theirs. Passing on the idea of love, acceptance and the concept of live and let live one child/person at a time. You dont have to like every individual, but you do have to love the human race and be part of its struggle to improve life for all.

I have to say I really like what iluvJoshJackson99 had to say on this. I agree it's living the purpose that God has given for me. God gives me hope, and because he lives I can face tomorrow.

I think that everyone has a different perspective on that. For me, it's living as God would want me to, and pleasing him. To others it may be to be healthy and happy, or maybe finding a spouse, or being rich.
