Like you really need to promote keeping secrects in a town that was mostly developed and constructed by mobsters. If the sagebrush and cactus in the desserts surrounding "Lost Wages" could talk...Oh what stories they could tell!

"Whatever happens here, stays here" all right. All the money you win at the tables, you're likely to throw over the table again. Whatever you spend here you're not taking home with you. The third rate entertainment provided by washed up has-beens in the theaters and lounges is trapped here: the performers aren't going anywhere except to rehab. And, the $1.50 shrimp cocktail and $5.99 prime rib you ate here is going right down to our waste treatment facility. It's staying here, that's for sure. Folks, Vegas is a dump fit only for low-life hicks and losers.

The commercial didn't seem to support the claim as it seems everyone knew this man's business while in Vegas! Humorous edge to it, though.

This campaign had a very clever way of inviting people to go to Vegas to cheat on their spouses.

Speaking as a former advertising professional, I thought it was a pretty good campaign. It hooked the underlying idea that Vegas has a touch of the taboo, and played it well. As to the notion that it tainted Vegas, my response here would be how can you taint a painted old trollop any more than she already is.

Great! Just what the wife needs to hear before hubbys "business" trip. Why don't they just show some "Ho's" on the corner?

The worst tourism ad campaign I have ever seen. What happens here stays here? It sounds like it (Vegas) gives pathetic adults permission to actually drink and go wild- guess what, you should be able to do that WHENEVER and WHEREVER you are. . .if you don't have the guts to be naughty than going to Vegas doesn't solve the problem.

These are trying times we live in. The attacts of freedom and privacy being played out like a cheap newsprint coloringbook by the media and press giants is proof of said times. So to imply a place of mums the word type of recreation and entertainment visually and its about Las Vegas I think its a great juxtiposition all the way around.

The song being played in the background is very appropriate and the Asian woman who mumbles as she tones down her postcard is pretty funny. I think it's a good campaign. It hooks you into watching the ad, makes you smile and makes the point that Vegas is for having fun.

I never even had a thought of the backlash stemming from this advertising campaign until I just looked it up to put it on the list. Personally, I thought, though perhaps a bit on the negative naughty side, it was an interesting campaign, but many groups are very much against the idea of tainting Las Vegas' image. Nevertheless, I found the commercials kind of interesting, but nothing groundbreaking in either direction.
