Wed Apr 01 2009You can tell alot from what books people read as well as if they even take the time to read a book. I am currently reading "Final Exits- The Illustrated Encyclopedia of How We Die" by Michael Largo. It is very informative as well as entertaining and funny.

Wed Apr 01 2009Currently flipping through "Gonzo" a collection of reminiscences about Hunter S Thompson edited by Jann Wenner. Not great literature, but an amusing distraction, and I'm a little short on spare time for something weighty.

Sat Apr 21 2007(4/21/07) Gotta update this, several books later: I'm in the middle of "Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson. Interesting look at the history of science. (2/13/05) I'm reading several; I pick up a different book depending on my mood. Mostly, I'm reading The Odyssey and American Gods, both of which are pretty good, though the latter is kinda weird.

Mon Feb 19 2007Robert De Niro's biography by John Baxter. It's absolutely brilliant and it explains how he met Scorsese and had his big break in "Mean Streets" and "The Godfather Pt 2". I'm really enjoying it so far, I think he's one of the greatest actors of all time.

Wed Aug 23 2006Happiness- book on happiness from different standpoints, cultures, and religions. It introduses you how ancient civilization and modern facts look at what actually happiness means to different people. Personally for me, to learn anything about a different culture is insatiable.

Wed Jul 06 2005A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. It's the first book in a series and I'm really just getting started on it. Give me another 6 weeks, and I'll probably be reading Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy again.

Wed Mar 30 2005I find this question most insightful, as it let's me know at least whether or not the person actually reads at all (not that it's a prerequisite for me, I actually have friends that never read a book front to back in their lives). Currently I'm reading Thomas Sowell's Vision of the Annointed. Also, lately I'm interested in anything that I can find on Kim Jong Il/North Korea...

Sun Mar 27 2005Currently I'm reading the political writings of John Adams. Another recent book I've read is Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser, a real eye opening look into the fast food industry. Generally my reading interests are more wide rather than thematic.

Sun Mar 27 2005Recently finished reading Susan Hill's Woman in Black. It's pleasantly written, if a little formulaic.

Sun Mar 27 2005I read a lot... currently /An Intimate History of Humanity/ (Theodore Zeldin). Recently I have been liking histories that focus not so much on the actions of kings and generals, but on aspects of daily life.
