Wechsler & Goodman Jewelry

This great small business gladly took in my engagement ring to be resized 3 days before my wedding. I had not worn the dang thing in over a year because it was over a size too small but that was swiftly remedied at this shop! They resized my ring from a 9 3/4 to a 10 1/2 in no time at all. They also recarved the bottom of the band (where the extra size was added) so well that I couldn't even tell where it had been altered. And did I mention that they did all of this for ONLY 13 bucks?!?! I was so pleased I went out of the shop laughing and flashing my bling like a madwoman. I would recommend this shop to any and all who want personalized service from professionals with great prices. Yeah!!

Located in downtown San Diego in the Jewelry Exchange building is the family owned business of Wechsler and Goodman. I have been coming to them for over 10 years now for appraisals, repairs, re-sizing, and custom designs. They also do re-strining of necklaces, engraving and can replace missing stones and diamonds in settings. They do a phenomenal job and are very affordable. I have been going to them for so long that I was unaware of how much money other jewelers charge for some of these, rhodium plating for example. This is when they can make a piece of yellow gold jewelry look like white gold or even platinum. This is great if you now wear only white gold or received something as a gift. A friend of mine was quoted $100 for a ring of hers but when I took the same ring to W&G it only cost $15! This is only one example of how much money you can save.
